So is this still considered a gendered insult? But Plushenko and Rus Fed had their hissy fit after Vancouver because he omitted a jump that ended up being the margin of victory and now here we are.
I always saw hissy fit as a shortening of hysterical fit. I suppose it could be gendered if you assume only women can be hysterical but I have often applied that to anyone and everyone. If it is considered gendered I vote for expansion of the use to all gender/nongendered people rather than eliminating the term because it's a human thing. So is this still considered a gendered insult?
Progress! Sort of."Hysteria" is derived from the Greek word for womb, so yes, its history is gendered, and rooted in misogyny, even if the label is freely used in a unisex manner today.

He didn’t do a 3 jump combo all season. Not once! He did two quad triples In Vancouver. Isu math was so messed up at time doing a quad triple didn’t mean anything. It’s the big mystery of 2009-2010 season! Plushenko never ever doing a 3 jump combo Ever. The only theory is he felt doing quad triples against people doing no quads was sufficient. Also maybe The negative goe on the combo would be so bad because he couldn’t do a third jump neatly so it would eliminate the value of the jump anyway? Then there is idea he didn’t want to do 3-2-2 only 4-3-2. I believe his 4-3-2 in Torino was done very poorly.Personally, I'm getting a laugh out of the impact of this cluster on the team event results. If the team event hadn't existed, we may never have known. They would have declared her injured or gotten a quick resolution with a one month suspension that let her keep her euros title and skate in Beijing.
But Plushenko and Rus Fed had their hissy fit after Vancouver because he omitted a jump that ended up being the margin of victory and now here we are.
I like to think of cats but snakes works tooHissy fit is from hysteria? I thought it might have been some sort of humorous term - as if people are hissing like snakes during the fit.
I love learning new things at FSU."Hysteria" is derived from the Greek word for womb, so yes, its history is gendered, and rooted in misogyny, even if the label is freely used in a unisex manner today.

Leona shall not pass to gold EU!!! Russian , from Moscow did.
Russia treated Gubanova like crap but now that she's thriving with another country, they praise her. The hypocrisy is realBullshitting on her ig post too, and makes me question if I'd like Russians to be able to switch countries, when I see crap like this:
To be fair, she was always a superstar with Russian fans. It was the Federation that always pushed her down to make way for other stars. The fans of course are going to take credit for her.Russia treated Gubanova like crap but now that she's thriving with another country, they praise her. The hypocrisy is real![]()
There needs to be a moderator in the ISU live chats to kick out the trolls.
I really dislike the comment section too. I wish they'd turn it off.If they can’t have a moderator to ban people making disgusting comments about skater’s weights, they should disable chats and comments on all their videos. Full stop.
You can turn it off. And you can stop reposting hate speech.I really dislike the comment section too. I wish they'd turn it off.
How can I turn the comments section off?You can turn it off.
Why? It's relevant to the thread, showing the behaviour of the Russian fans on this topic. If you can show me how it's irrelevant, then I won't.And you can stop reposting hate speech.
There's an option on YouTube to 'Hide Comments' on all their livestreams. How can I turn the comments section off?
That's the chat. I usually turn off the chat. I came in too late for this stream and only caught the butt end of the performances and glanced at the chat as a result, but tbh I'm glad I did. I now know how these people are speaking about Loena and why. There's an option on YouTube to 'Hide Comments' on all their livestreams.
By clicking where it says to turn the comments off.How can I turn the comments section off?
Xenophobic Russian fans didn't dope Valieva. Why? It's relevant to the thread, showing the behaviour of the Russian fans on this topic. If you can show me how it's irrelevant, then I won't.
Genuinely curious - would the ISU videos stay up if monetized? Music licenses and all? From what some people with YouTube channels have said, comments impact the algorithm, ie, the more the merrier, which at least impacts monetization indirectly.
