Will Valieva also leave, she worked a lot with Roganov. This will be very interesting, especially if next season is a bust. What a ridiculous time to make a move!
That is my worry, that Plushenko's team won't pay any more attention to developing her skating skills and artistry than Eteri's did.I just hope he hires a good choreographer for her....not whoever did his choreography....
True, Kanysheva left from Panova to Tutberidze, but where is she now! Injury and gone.Kanysheva....
I am more worried about the skating conditions at Pluschenko’s academy. The size of ice...That is my worry, that Plushenko's team won't pay any more attention to developing her skating skills and artistry than Eteri's did.
Maybe good technique on the toe or the flip but that quad lutz was an abomination.I've said it before and i'll say it again Trusova has fantastic jump technique and her jumps are big. She will go through puberty and there will be adjustments but her technique (at least before this coach change) was sound and she has all the tools to make it through.
Scherbakova will almost certainly lose her quads because they're whipped and reliant on rotational speed much more than height or length.
I can't even remember ... I might be imagining this... but wasn't there some suggestion that Plushenko wanted Zagitova to train with him?
EDIT: https://www.tellerreport.com/sports/2019-12-15---plushenko-responded-to-tutberidze’s-charge-of-trying-to-lure-zagitova-.SyOE0Zc7RH.html
That's what I'm thinking of. I think Tutberidze accused Plushenko of trying to lure Zagitova to train with him. Then Plushenko denied it, but hinted that he had the resources to do so if he wished.

Of course, it's impossible to get used to your athletes leavings. After all, while working together over time we become a family, constantly overcoming all arising obstacles on our way.
Good athletes and specialists will always be invited to other groups, and some may offer better conditions. It's everyone’s decision, how to respond to such offers. But our team is different from others, as we ourselves are educating and creating these talented athletes and specialists. Of course, we will never offer more attractive conditions, otherwise confidence will be lost. When working together, we always leave a part of our lives, part of ourselves.
OTOH, there was little to no choreography in Trusova's programs this season--she looked like she was chasing quads and doing some hard transitions and that was it.
probably not since he doesn't actually coach any of the skaters. She's basically going back to her original coach who taught her the jump technique she has.It would be better if all involved didn't point the finger so much and just use the narrative of needing a different space, or cite personal reasons. Why hasn't Kostornaia left? Roganov has been training mostly babies, he will/may be a source of comfort for Trusova yes, but he'll need to prove himself all over again. During this crisis Eteri could only be with her daughter, there is nothing to do at this point but stay home and train as best you can as per the other girls, everybody will have to start from scratch. Plushenko has not impressed me much as a coach, but maybe this move will light a fire under him. We'll see.

Yep, that was automatic Instagram translation, I just edited few phrases a bit.I think it's a little bit lost in translation (EDIT didn't realize this was just google translate ) that she means special conditions (i.e. "we won't give anyone preferential treatment"). I wonder if she is shading Rozanov ? (or Trusova...)
Rules can change. It is just a matter of time. There were times when 3A was not allowed in the SP and now it is. At the moment only Russian senior ladies are landing quads in competition, so there is not much motivation from other countries to change the rules. However, I would not be surprised if in a year or two, when some Japanese girls start hitting quad and US skater Liu will be senior eligible, suddenly there will be push to have it allowed. When Russian, Japanese and US federation all want it, it will happen.Wow! Hope it works out! Though the real problem in Skating is that quads are banned in SP so she can’t maximize potential
Honestly, Plushenko giving Trusova an Edvin Marton program would be an upgrade from the material given to her last season.
And now we don’t have 3A but only 2A. Oh dear. If only Kanysheva did not get injured. She will be senior eligible this coming season, so she could have replaced that missing 1A and Tutberidze would still have 3A. You have to admit, 2A just doesn’t sound the same.
Do you think Tutberidze will post an advert ‘I am looking for a senior eligible female skater. Please apply if your first name start with the letter A. (I can teach you jumps, but I can’t change your name)’.
Nah time has mellowed Eteri. She doesn't have the energy.Do we think this split will eclipse the Medvedevea-Tutberidze split in DRAMA!?
