Yes she had rescue dogs before Harry. I am happy that William and Harry made up ?.

I think the bragging rights alone are worth any potential headaches H&M may bring to Canada.:D :saint:

Well, maybe they cannot comment on what they are doing for security but I don't really get why they can't comment on what they are not doing. It seems the British people know they are not paying for it - based on what I have heard on their talk shows - so why can't Prime Minister Trudeau say something similar - "it will not be paid for by the Canadian taxpayers". Not sure how that compromises anything!!

Also - stating the obvious - Kate does not look to be expecting this 4th child often talked about by the media.

Well there is a transition period so for now I figure it must still be them paying. I have no idea what’s involved though in working it out.
 
The polls I have seen show Canadian opinion as over 70% against Canadian taxpayer money going for their security. Now - temporarily - maybe - but I cannot see this just dying. If some RCMP officers moonlight as their security - probably no one cares - they just do not want to pay the bills when that money is needed so badly in other areas of Canadian society - such as clean water on reserves.

I honestly don't understand all this hand-wringing over their security costs. Since it's been made clear they will not be in Canada as representing royals, they will be there as tourists or part-time residents. I would imagine the Royal Family, probably Prince Charles since their income will be coming from him, will be paying for their security until they are in a financial position to pay for it themselves.

I doubt it could be moonlighting RCMP as this security likely lives in with them.

Someone in the comment section says the pics are made by an agency and even names it, indicating she called them. It is true though that she is looking straight into the camera throughout the clip:

"This is the work of PR firms. Look at the bottom left corner of the photos. Splash News and BACKGRID are PR firms. They are the same firms used by the Kardashians."

But I see no problem here. She knows people are curious how they live from now onwards and releases her own material. Why not?

Yes but she did it right when other members of the royal family were having an engagement. Reports are the Queen said the announcement would come last weekend so not to overshadow the other events.

Although they are threatening legal action who knows.

I think the person in the comments section doesn't know what they are talking about.

I don't know Backgrid, but Splash News is a photo/news agency specializing in "gotcha" photos of celebs. It's not a PR firm. It's possible that one of Meghan's staff dropped a hint where the photographer could find her when she went out to walk the dogs, but it's also possible that they are hanging out 24/7 at the house waiting to follow her.
 
The reason I thought it was Meghan's team that put out the photos is that she
is smiling and looks very happy, of course that is just speculation on my part.

ETA: I will just say, again unrelated to H&M, that the whole “taking photos of beautiful women” as referenced in the article gives me the creeps. Women aren’t a commodity. The whole thing is just yucky.
 
I think that no one ever should be allowed to take my picture! And I am nobody, and it does not matter what I think.

I don't know who said something about suing, but that is just silly.

As per Meghan and Harry....they better make peace with it.

I would be interested in knowing how people knew what house they were looking at. M/H could stop talking so much.

Maybe they need better friends. H/M could do a lot to keep people / press at bay by realizing that their fame is their reality.

Julia Roberts (totally famous) lives with her family in Malibu. They go to their kids soccer games, etc. They RARELY show up in pap pictures. Stars like Ms. Roberts has done and is doing something to protect their privacy other than yelling and screaming about wanting privacy. Sandra Bullock too.

Perhaps Harry and Meghan should ring them up!
 
I could see trouble though if they are camping out trying to spy into the house. I hadn’t read the article yet. I personally would be upset if someone was doing that to me ... not that they would ..

There is no allegation that anyone was trying to spy into the house. (But who wouldn't want a look inside?)

The photographer was behind some bushes on the road. Now, if someone popped out of a bush at me I would be startled....freaked....frightened. Meghan is smiling right into the camera.

Of course, one way to make sure that does not happen is to hire a discreet security crew. I would think Harry would want his family protected from.......oh I don't know..........kidnappers? It is a public road.
