March Madness tournament bracket

Who else is following?

I was so excited to see my alma mater (Old Dominion) win the C-USA tournament last night. Somewhat bummer news today - they are ranked #14 in the South section and playing #3 Purdue. Maybe they’ll pull an upset.

Which team(s) are you rooting for? Which #1 seed do you think will fall first?

VCU is seeded 8th in the East and playing Central Florida (seeded 9th) in Columbia, SC. Whoever wins will very likely face the overall #1 seed Duke.

Was pleasantly surprised to see U of MD seeded so high. With their opponent TBD after play-in. I find it odd that 2 11th seeds are playing each other to get in...I thought the play-ins were only for 16th seeds. Anyway, I hope the Terps can make it to the Sweet 16 this year, would be a nice boost.

Bummed UMBC missed it this year. I was looking forward to another upset.

I got suckered into doing a March Madness bracket thing at work. I know NOTHING about basketball and you have to choose the winners from the first round to the championship in one fell swoop. Erm....

I think historically at least one of the #1 and #2 seeds lose shockingly early every year. I’m picking UNC and Michigan.

I do this every year; one of my coworkers organizes a big pool every year. I am terrible but everyone gets into it and it’s kind of fun. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a full game in the 6 years I’ve taken part in my friends contest!

I won one of the company pools back in the 90's - $515! And I know nothing about basketball. I only ever watched March Madness with my boyfriend when we were at sports bars. It was the first time my mom ever watched a whole basketball game, waiting to see if Duke would beat AZ in the final game and I would win. The other way around, someone else would have won. I called the second it was over and instead of saying "hello", she answered the phone "you won!".

I had to go over to another building to get my winnings, and it was all in $5s and $10s and $20s! He made me count it while he watched. And I was "interviewed" for the final updated standings email that went out after every round. The next year was the third year in a row that a female employee won. I'm not in any pools or watch any basketball anymore, but I always root for Duke because they won me money. President Obama has them winning this year.

Oh, I heard somebody say UC Irvine Anteaters? I would have picked them in a pool! That's how I got attached to the Southern Illinois Salukis - the mascot name. And I picked them when they went to the Sweet Sixteen the next year.

And that is all I know about basketball...................................ha ha

I've not filled out a bracket this year. I really know little about basketball, but I am from Kentucky, so I think we all know exactly who I root for.

Oh, I heard somebody say UC Irvine Anteaters? I would have picked them in a pool! That's how I got attached to the Southern Illinois Salukis - the mascot name.

Well, I just read that the Anteaters beat Kansas State (4 seed). Funny.

My alma mater Texas Tech is in the Final Four for the first time ever in school history. Incredible!
I am beyond thrilled. Dancing with joy!

Well I would normally root for my neighboring state to the south (VA), but those Texas Tech and Auburn teams sure put on a show all weekend. What a great 16/8!

Very happy to see Texas Tech win tonight and going to the national championship game.

Auburn was robbed by the officials. They didnt call the double dribble on Virginia in the final seconds of the game but they were so eager to call the foul on Auburn with the game clock expiring. Terrible heartbreak fir Auburn. With officiating like this, I have no hope forbmy Red Raiders in the championship game on Monday.

About to watch the NCAA Women’s basketball championship game. Baylor vs Notre Dame.
I am rooting for Baylor but I just want to see a great game. Starts in 30 min.

Some of these women may go to WNBA.

Tech is shooting poorly. Virginia is winning. I am still proud of our Red Raiders for making it this far. Great achievement, win or lose.

What a great game! Excellent weekend of basketball! Happy for the Hoos, sorry to see Texas Tech lose, but that team will be back.

I was disappointed that my Red Raiders lost but they made us proud. Nobody expected them to make it this far, and there is no shame in losing a game that went into OT. This tournament should help them in recruiting next season. Hopefully they will be back with vengeance.

It was a great game. I enjoyed it almost as much as the UMBC-UVA game at the start of last year's March Madness.
