You and Dobre bring up good points. I also think Dobre is right in that some of the teams going to Montreal may not stay there by 2022. I think the Igor/Pasquale partnership is very promising and I can see teams flocking there if they show they are providing a good working environment. I'm not sure what Marina has up her sleeve, but she's been in the game for far too long to not be able to navigate these waters.

Ditto. I was kind of disappointed that Chock and Bates didn't give this a shot. My gosh it's going to be an interesting season.

I agree the Detroit bases seem to be losing power bigtime. It seems everyone is also starting to think of Montreal as the in place to be for dance, but that creates a problem as too many teams want to train there, and you can be a top team and far from the #1 there.

I think a team like Chock & Bates if they really plan on continuing are stupid to go there. They will NEVER be the #1 there with Papadakis & Cizeron there (and I dont see them ever leaving there honestly), and the up and coming teams I could see easily taking priority over them.

It doesn't appear to be posted yet. I just checked out the Minto Summer Skate results and there were only 2 teams and the score sheet is a freaking mess. OMG. Haha. NOT a good barometer to say the least.

I love Abachkina's dancing, but man I hate her music tastes (same problem with many V/M programs) ! Good partnership though, I haven't quite followed if she will skate with him or Drozd. I guess we'll have to wait and see...

She’s beautiful and expressive. I always felt Thauron had better skating skills. Agree with you about the music...not sure Romeo and Juliet was a convincing choice.

I hope she remains with Shchepetov. I like what I see but just hate that music. I wish they would have used Prikofiev or the movie version. Oh well. I have such a girl crush on Angelique!
Fun fact: McNamara and Carpenter used that music for their first year of juniors.

I think that it was kind of a test skates or something like this, but I may be wrong.

I have never seen Schepetov before, but I think that he is pretty good and didn’t look like a weaker partner at all.

We have one FSU poster who has stated that A&S have split. (No link, written evidence, or secondary poster to confirm this or support the statement as of yet).

We do know A&S were listed on the sub list for the first JGP and then were removed. And we do know that a week before that she had stated that she was competing in a later JGP.

And we have a rumor of a tryout with Drozd.

That's what we've seen on FSU thus far. Which means 1. It's possible it's just a rumor, and there was no tryout, 2. It's possible she is skating with Shchepetov but did go have a tryout with Drozd. 3. It is possible that she had a tryout with Drozd that did not work out. 4. It is possible that she is currently trying out with Drozd and nothing has been decided.

It does sound like Drozd is now with Zhulin, which is interesting in itself, IMO.

Thanks. TBH, I wish he'd just man up and try out with Lena. Him, Ilinykh and Zhulin, magic. They both have such great basics. But is he interested or is she?
