I LOVE this program and it's only getting better. It really shows how well they can dance, sigh! I wish I lived in Canada, I'd be shelling out the big bucks to sit right in front. I could watch them all day.

Yeah. I probably have watched their Olympic MR so many times, I can spot variation on the program on other versions of their MR. I spotted that section immediately as different and did not take me long to figure out what was replaced

I don't think skaters see it that way. If they did, they would music that iconic programs had been skated to.

The fact that T/D's Bolero is iconic hasn't stopped skaters from continuing to use the music. Ditto Kat Witt's Carmen - Carmen being the most over-used piece of music (in a contest with POTP).

A more recent example is S/H Turandot. I was shocked that they chose that music, given that their coach and partner had skated such a masterpiece program to it. But they obviously felt that could bring something different to the music. And/or, they may have wanted to pay tribute to their coach by skating to the music that galvanized the process of he and his partner becoming legends in the sport.

I think young teams will probably still use it, more in the trying to emulate way, but top teams will want to avoid it.

Just back from the show and it was SO awesome.
The other number was set in a club and featured Tessa and Scott, Andrew and Kaitlyn, and Meghan and Eric. The song they skated/danced to was Ed Sheeran "Shape of You."

That was one of the biggest mind messes ever as we are so used to seeing P/C skate to that song.

Perfectly matching lines, fully extended knees and pointed toes from the both of them even in a show setting. The dance technique is impeccable. Few other teams bother with or are capable of that level of detail. I’m going to miss them so much from the competitive scene.

Zach Donohue also went and was saying how amazing it the show and the crowd was on his IG stories. He was especially impressed by Tessa and Scott and Jeff Buttle. After the show he picked Tessa and Scott's Moulin Rouge as his favourite program.

Actually it appears that Zach went with Olivia Smart, Tim Koleto, and Misato Komatsubara. And they all met up with Sam afterwards. Marie-France and Patrice were there too.

One person asked her whether she and Scott ever used fake names at Starbucks. She answered that for a while they were Kate and Joe (her mom and his dad) and that they also used Meryl and Charlie.
