From Russia with love [#23]: Spring/Summer 2016

She definitely does not look ready to retire. I was thinking "she just radiates energy" even before I opened the second link!

According to Vaitsehkovskaya, Voronov will work with Morozov on his programs for the next season. She announced an interview with him :)

She also said, that I/Z will come to Moscow for a week in May; don't want to jinx them but seems like they will stay with Igor

I wish they would stay with Igor, but this doesn't mean anything yet. it may just mean that they come for a week because they are supposed to be there till the end of May. So to avoid speculations what they are doing back so early, they might have announced that they are coming back for a week.

She also announced that she has "an appointment" for the interview with someone, who will make an official confirmation on future "transfer".
But it's only a gossip yet, of course :)

My nightmare just gets worse and worse. :wuzrobbed Although I do think Morozov is still capable of good work, the programs he did for Sergei in the past & the crap he gave Elena this season don't inspire any confidence (and yeah, I read the rest of what Vaitsekhovskaya wrote & I guess I should have changed the avatar by now...).

Well, I also don`t want to get excited too soon, but it doesn`t make much sense to come back for a week to Moscow, when they are coming back at the end of the month anyway. It seems more and more likely that they will stay with Igor, but we will see I guess.

I liked Morozov's programs for Anna this season, they somehow suited her, but the programs he made for Elena and Sergei in the past :scream::blah:

And one of the best personalities/minds in skating, forever. :glamor: everytime I see her in the media I end up smiling. :)

I think a year with Frank/Lori would completely transform Radionova. Can you imagine their faces when they assess the situation? I've come to love Radionova the person this year, I really want her to address the movement issues because she could easily be one of the most fun ladies to watch (already is for most, but I still can't get past the arms/program choices). As a competitor she's maybe the best lady out there the past few seasons though, especially considering her growth spurt this year.

Morozov's output is just so uneven. Anna's programs this season were easily her best yet, but Radionova's were terrible. He did great work for Stolbova/Klimov, yet I was really dissatisfied with Tarasova/Morozov's programs. What to think??:confused:

I don't think he created T/M's programs (their choreographer is listed as Alla Kapranova), just S/K's and V/T's from Team Mozer. And I did like those, and Anna's, but I'm not sure why he can be so inspired at times and other times just seem to be phoning it in. Well, I suppose all choreographers are like that to some degree, but few are as hot and cold as Nikolai.

This new interview with Urmanov seems interesting:

Then again, the Black swan Morozov did for Takahashi... I wouldn't write off a skater until we actually see what Morozov did this time. Some of his programs were bad, but some of them were brilliant.

Agreed!!!!!!

Interview with Voronov from Vaitsekhovskya

A very honest one, she is a great interviewer and he is a very decent man :)

I would never write him off, it's just that I try not to get my hopes up only to have them destroyed over and over again. I am a realist (but he seems to be one too). In any case, I'm simply glad he didn't give up and will keep competing. And I don't know what to think about Eteri. I hope some day she reaches the conclusion that skaters are not disposable things you can just ignore for the latest shiny new one when they are going through a hard time (I still admire her as a coach, but nobody is perfect, after all...).

Coach Mishin and his students (Tuktamysheva, Petrov, Nugumanova, Gumennik, Semenenko) currently are in Toronto area (Guelph FSC) for a high performance seminar: https://www.instagram.com/p/BFIGlNLQeJ4/?taken-by=liza_nugumanova

Tarasova/Morozov and Zabijako/Enbert (demonstrators, along with coach Vladislav Zhovnirskiy?) are in Berlin for the ISU's Developmental Training Pairs seminar: https://www.instagram.com/p/BFGFOEPhfxc/?taken-by=_tarasova_evg

Yes.It seems this is a trend in Russia. Many women have younger husband. ;)

I am not against younger husbands. I was surprised, that's all. I am thinking they must have a 10 year age difference

He is about 21 or 22. She is in her mid to later 20s, so there can't be ten years difference.

See what Yehudi wrote. To be more precise, Bobrova is 26 and Deputat is going to be 24 at the end of the year. I'd say the age difference is not really significant enough to even talk about (that's not a reprimand to you, Vash, since you thought that the age difference is bigger).
