I hope to see Patrick compete for many more years, medals or not.
I normally don't entertain Chan's usual long list of complaints, but I thought his complaint about the quality of the ice in his FS was quite justified. There was an actual puddle on that ice.
She was in an ice arena for heaven's sake, wear a coat. The ice was pretty rough by the time Patrick skated and yes, there was a puddle. I wonder if the woman who complained to custumer relations that it was too cold in the arena, finally had her way.

One would think. But apparently it was all about her, not the skaters. She was in an ice arena for heaven's sake, wear a coat.
The ice appeared to be in better shape the next day for the pairs free and ladies free. No puddle that I could see on Saturday, and it was very obvious from where we were sitting on Friday night. The ice was pretty rough by the time Patrick skated and yes, there was a puddle. Yes, I was told they brought the temp down in the arena and it seemed that way. Said lady must have been outraged yet again. The ice appeared to be in better shape the next day for the pairs free and ladies free. And yet Fernandez skated right before him and had no trouble delivering the skate of the night.I normally don't entertain Chan's usual long list of complaints, but I thought his complaint about the quality of the ice in his FS was quite justified. There was an actual puddle on that ice.

What's the point in his comeback if he doesn't get a real coach? It's just stupid.
Patrick needs to go to Rafael NOW!
He sort of has to compete - given Nam's melt-down at worlds, we might otherwise not have two spots for men at the OG.
I think there may be pressure for him to compete next season at least, to get spots for 2018. Nam's showing at the WC was dismal, and as of yet, no other man appears ready to step up to the plate.
Canada needs to evaluate its system if instead of producing new stars they are begging old stars like Chan and Virtue & Moir to come out of retirement to save the day. That only works so long. Not that I am not happy to see Chan and V&M compete, I just hope that is what they really want to be doing and not CSA pressure (V&M it atleast seems like they really do want to, Chan I am less sure about).
