Zingas/Kolesnik Fan Thread - They Have “It”

Now the British fed is gonna complain...I hope this doesn't mess with Z/K's confidence and heads
:(

You know you’ve arrived when the haters come out in full force. 😂 What an incredible season for Emi and Vadym!! And for Vadym to cap it off by seeing his dad for the first time in five years 😭❤️

I’m so glad they’re working with Benoit again for their FD next season. He has really tapped into their power and their charisma. And I’m so excited to see them do a sweeping waltz.

Huge congrats to these two! At the GPF I just had a gut feeling they would be on the podium at the post-Olympic Worlds, and it actually happened. They have impressed from the very start, but this season was just truly next level. I love both their stories as people, too, such compelling skaters.

I feel horribly for Lilah and Lewis, and also so happy for Emilea and Vadym.

They truly had a breakout season. Some good timing and luck played into that, but it's also testament to their hard work that they shot up in the standings this decisively. They have also been very consistent all year. Their mental strength and ability to handle pressure is very commendable for such a young team. They gave USFS good reason to back them up.

Meh their more successful and statement program is the RD and that was done by Igor right?

Very interested to see what they cook up next season!

Finally! Stars On Ice announced that Emi and Vadym will be joining them in 10 shows. I knew they couldn't commit to the full tour, but I'm thrilled for the fans who will get to see them.

Here's their writeup on the Stars on Ice website
Emilea Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik

Such an interesting (and amazing) year for them. When they first got together, there was talk Vadym settled and his career was over. Emi's progress and their current level as a team are unbelievable. He is a very patient partner, and she is a rockstar. Their speed, Vadyms effortless execution, and their personal charm are creating magic. Obviously the judges are blown away, this is not your normal slow and painful rise. I think this is all kind of crazy (in the best way) given where he was after Avonley ended things.

After years of traveling to competitions, I finally bought my first-ever SOI ticket yesterday, following the announcement of Vadym and Emi's participation.
Excited for their inaugural tour (capping off their series of exciting achievements this season).

Their interesting year has been amazing.
Agree that they have not had a normal slow rise.
At the same time, the totality of their career together has not been easy street.

Emi shared on live that they had actually been invited to do the entirety of the stars on ice tour, but turned that down in order to have some rest/vacation and more time to train the golden waltz. She seemed a bit nervous about being undertrained next season.

Would that have meant Christina and Anthony would have not been invited? Glad it worked out the way it did and both teams get to participate.

Also, it’s nice seeing the camaraderie between skaters. Both Amber and Luke Wang were in the comments.

In a Tiktok Live a day or two ago, Emi said (maybe not for the first time?) that Vadym and she also will skate in Ice Theatre of New York's show on May 4.
(Note: Emi/Vadym's only ITNY appearance will be the May 4 show preceding ITNY's benefit gala.
Emi/Vadym have SOI shows on May 1 and 2, which are the dates of ITNY's non-gala home performances.)

It is possible to buy an ITNY performance-only ticket for May 4, which does not include the gala afterward with cocktails/dinner/awards. (ITNY's honorees on May 4 are Nathan Chen and SOI producer Byron Allen.)
