YouGov poll: Ranking of U.S. States by Americans

My aunt tells me property taxes are sky high in New Jersey. She might be proud of that poll and mystified at the same time.
 
People who live in areas with high property taxes don't realize what they really get with it until they move to sad places that hardly have property taxes. I.e, look at the 48th ranked state.

Of course, balance is the key and yada yada yada.
 
I mean, you get what you pay for, arguably. New Jersey ranks #1 in safety and #5 in health/education. Those are two categories that cost money. A lot of people move to/live in New Jersey for the schools.
