Worlds 2025 Free Dance: “Last Dance”

So generic program anyway that even without the twizzle mistake should not be put ahead of the finns

I'm gonna count those flappy things off her shoulders as 'whickety-whack' because they technically meet the definition even if they aren't my idea of whickety-whack

No, I didn't need another POTO program. I will never need another POTO program.
Technically it's an "inspired by" program (Phantasia (Based on „The Phantom of the Opera“))

Jennifer JANSE van RENSBURG / Benjamin STEFFAN 🇩🇪
Rank after RD 12
Coach: Rostislav Sinicyn, Natalia Karamysheva
Music: Phantasia (Phantom of the Opera)

One Foot Turns W:2 M:2
Curve Lift 4
Synchronized Twizzles W:2 M:4 - Jennifer lost balance on the first twizzle, but managed to stay on one foot
Dance Spin 4 (3 after review)
Choreo Character Step Sequence
Serpentine Step Sequence W:2 M:2
Straight Line Lift 4
Rotational Lift 4
Choreo Dance Lift

Choreo Spinning Movement

Whether we like the skating, or agree with the judging, the first 8 teams of the event skated cleanly, and so being the first team with a red box is going to hurt their score, and their standing. Phantom of the Opera has been done so many times that skaters/couples need to bring something new to the interpretation, and that did not happen in this program.

105.98 = 6th Place
179.33 = 5th Place

I just loathe this program. In a just and right world, this will be behind the Taschlers.

Positively, I think JvR/Steffen have improved so much the last few years! :cheer2:
Bummer about the mistake.

….

How?! 😤 How do you win every time while I am always one away? :drama:

I was even hoping for a crappy cartwheel yesterday so I could finally win one.

But yay well done Karen :p
The Taschler's had a cartwheel over her back
