I haven't seen the Italians FD yet. So far, I think that Chock and Bates have the best FD of the top 4, and that is saying something, because I did not like it that much. The rest of the top 10-15 is mostly much better than the top 4.

I'm fairly satisfied with Taschlers score and placement here. They need to do more with both segments but I think they are in good shape for this point in the season.

I like that Alicia & Paul moved up. That was a good score for them at this point for the FD, especially since its awful.

Yes, the fabric choice is poor and the color matches her dye job.

Definitely the wrong fabric, when her skirt got stuck up on her rhinestones for a while there and how it fits through the torso.

It's a trippy song and I think the tango break is skip the light fandango but I need another watch.

See, I like the Italians FD if only because it's so voidy Euro-trash WTFery at it's peak - except for the lack of boot covers. If they show up at France next week without either new costumes or at least boot covers for their current costumes, I may have to give them a costume deduction, lol.

But, yeah, ChoBat have the best FD of the top 4 and it's only going to get better as they get back into full-time training mode now for the fall.

I mean, really... I know GilPoir had some touring this summer, but they were in the rink a LOT more than ChoBat this off-season and this FD is the best they could come up with? Not to mention their super-slow twizzles yesterday... I'd love nothing more than for them to get dumped at the GPF behind LajLag. Again, won't happen, even though it should. I just don't understand what Carol Lane was thinking for ANY of her teams this season.

Though none of the song lyric interpreting websites agree with my interpretation, I’ve always thought that Whiter Shade of Pale was about Alice in Wonderland. If that were the case, then if Paul turned that cut out into a heart shaped cut out, then his backless jacket would make more sense.

I believe Mark Hanretty is also doing the final GP in China (my hearsay info is that is doing NHK but don't quote me on that). If true, no more Chris Howarth this calendar year (ETA as @tony just pointed out) Howarth just said "until the NHK Trophy... bye for now" at the end of the ISU/World feed broadcast.
