Yes but people said Bobek was the first to do a Flutz, right? Which is a bit weird because maybe other ladies before her did Flutz already.Bobek had a flutz, but she had great spring in it.

Midori "springs" while Tonya "powers" through the jump. So, Midori.
Oh yes. I guess from the previous angle it was Flutz. This one is clearer.
Even though she did just doubles, Hana Maskova.
This is true, when I first thread the thread title I immediately thought of Sebestyen's lutz, it was the definition of 'springy jump', but I don't recall her edge jumps the same way.Sebestyen had great spring in her Lutz and Flip but the edge jumps not so much.
Oh yes ! When she jumped like that, it was fantastic !This is true, when I first thread the thread title I immediately thought of Sebestyen's lutz, it was the definition of 'springy jump', but I don't recall her edge jumps the same way.
This is so weird that commentators called it a Lutz, LOL.No, the term flutz existed since the 70s. It is the lip that is relatively new.
However, Nicole did have a flutz even when doing a double.

I know Flutz was not such a big deal back then, but honestly, it's not at all a Lutz !![]()
Just rewatched her and realized her Flip was a Lip.Sebestyen had great spring in her Lutz and Flip but the edge jumps not so much.

which brings up whether a woman in those years of the short program was allowed to repeat the same double jump in both the combination and the solo jump?
