What's your Olympic wish?

Crying Girl: [reading from paper] I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school... I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy...[about to cry]
Damian: [shouting from back] She doesn't even go here!
Ms. Norbury: Do you even go to this school?
Crying Girl: No... I just have a lot of feelings...
Ms. Norbury: Ok go home...
[girl walks off stage]
Ms. Norbury: Next!

Seriously, though. I hope Trump doesn't piss off North Korea with his juvenile taunting, and cause them to blow everything up sky - high.

That all competitors skate to their capability (whatever that is); so that they can be happy with their effort/the Olympic experience.
If they do that, it will be a memory to cherish.

A fantastic men's event where multiple top men have 2 clean/nearly clean programs. Javi and Shoma with medals. Yuzuru with skates that he can be proud of (considering the circumstances with injury) whether or not he lands on the podium (although I hope he does!).

S/H gold, S/M & J/C medal. T/M and their Candyman nowhere near the podium. Ryom/Kim with 2 clean skates, high placement, and huge support from the South Korean audience. :)

Satoko with a medal, and anyone but Zagitova for gold. Mirai with the highest score of the US ladies, and for her to land the best 3As of any US athlete there.

V/M for gold, and for the Shibs to not have the FD problems they've been having lately.

Team Canada with gold, with Patrick's clean skates being the deciding factor. If (and only if) Mirai is in the US team event, a bronze for the US. If not, Japan/China/France/Italy for team bronze!

I realize that some of these are unrealistic but those are my wishes.

1. Russian ladies win gold and silver and Miirai wins the bronze

2. T&M win pairs gold

3 Hanyu wins OGM and Uno wins silver

4. Shibutanis win the ice dance bronze

5. P&C win the ice dance OGM.

6. Russia wins team gold

7. Stolbova and Bukin get to compete in the games

8.Medvedeva wins the OGM.

9. Kolyada wins the Bronze

10.There are no controversies, disqualifications or scandals

11. Everyone is safe and all in attendance have a great time

12. North Korean pair skates well and finishes in the Top 10.

Overarching hope is I would love to see Canada get surprise medals and get top 3 in medal count overall.

For skating-
I would love to see Canada get Team Gold in skating (I know- this is a dream so let me be lol!!)

I would love to see Tessa and Scott win Gold. That's right I am saying it.

I would like to see Chan skate programs he is proud of, even if he does or doesn't medal.

I would like to see our Canadian girls kick some Olympic butt...again would like to see them medal but skating solid skates is all I want for them.

I would like to see Duhamel & Radford get at least bronze. They have been so technically fun to watch. I woud love to see them cap their career with an Olympic medal.

1. USA to get silver in Team
2. Gus Kenworthy to get the Gold
3. Knierims land all their jumps all the time
4. A Canadian or an American (or both) are on the ladies podium
5. Carolina comes to her senses
6. Mirai lands all her 3 axels
7. Guignard & Fabbri get some damn respect :)
8. Paul Poirier looks right in the camera and says "AngieNikodonovLove Im coming home to you Baby!" He flies right to me and we have fried chicken and Wild Turkey in bed watching the Closing Ceremony! TMI?

Clean skates from Mirai, Adam, Gabby, Bradie, Karen, Keegan Messing, Alexey Bychenko, Daniel Samohin, Michal Brezina, Misha Ge (I'm assuming he's going), Cappelinni & LaNotte, Weaver & Poje, Gilles & Poirier, etc.
Are you hoping for two clean skates from Daniel Samohin, or would just one do? What about simply making the Free Skate?

If you ask me, it's like this:

Had he done two clean quads and not finished his Short Program, dayenu!
Had he finished his Short Program and not skated cleanly, dayenu!
Had he skated cleanly in the Short Program and not made the Free Skate, dayenu!
Had he made the Free Skate and not finished it, dayenu!
Had he finished the Free Skate and not skated cleanly, dayenu!

What I would like is judging so scrupulously and obviously fair that there are no controversies. IMO, it is more likely that Michelle Kwan will be asked to skate and given the OGM by popular acclaim.

The title didn't specify which Olympics, so first thought in my head was MK for gold (old habits die hard).

For 2018 I want true PBs (not necessarily judging), costumes that don't clash with the boards (silly pet peeve), and for Tara and Johnny not to talk during the highlights of a performance. Tara talked during all of P/C's highlights at Euros. It was a stark contrast to Tanith's commentary on the earlier broadcast.

One thing I want is for the Papadakis & Cizeron and Virtue & Moir fans to play nice regardless which wins, and none of the haughty superiority that their team is so much better and it was the biggest robbery ever if they lost (unless one team is clearly subpar), or the dumpage of the other and how overrated and not that talented the other one is.

Sui/Han to win pairs gold.
Mirai to skate two clean programs.

Pairs: Aliona to finally win gold. Sui/Han and Stolbova/Klimov to round out the podium.
Ladies: Med for gold :cheer2:
Men: Yuzu-Shoma to go 1-2.
Dance: P/C for gold and H/D for bronze

Yes except I'm torn between to S/M and S/H winning gold. But yes on every thing else.

1. My girl Med wins the gold
2. Hubbell-Donahue medal
3. Mirai skates clean with two good 3As
4. J/C medal in pairs with great skates
5. Hanyu wins with great skates, Kolyada and Chen medal.

If all this happens I will take a break from skating fandom for a year and stay happy
.

My hope is this too, however worlds will be month later and I would these exact things to happen at worlds. I could exchange Kolyada for Shoma or Javi.

V/M to win gold
Javi & Nathan to win a medal
H/D medal in dance
W/P get to skate in the team event and win a medal
Adam has great skates

Stolbova and Bukin miraculously appear in the list on the 27th and go to the Olympics...

All skaters enjoy their Olympic moment without any tears or disappointments. Only kisses in the K'n'C, please!

P/C win gold, Shibs and/or H/D land on the podium, B/S finish in top five and S/B in top ten.
S/M or S/H or S/K win gold, J/C wow the audience with their programs and win a medal.
Medvedeva wins gold, Miyahara medals, Sotskova finishes in top five, Kostner skates clean (and changes her FP costume).
Men's OGM is won with two clean or almost clean performances, no matter who pulls them off: Hanyu, Fernandez, Chen, Chan, Uno, Kolyada or Aliev - they are all impressive on a good day. Rippon skates his best and proves that it was the right decision to send him over Miner.
Team OAR wins gold in the Team Event and Team U.S. wins the silver medal.
At least one medal is a surprise, not due to numerous meltdowns by the frontrunners, but due to a dark horse skating lights out in both programs.

Bold mine.

Sorry, but I have to :D. However, a stopped clock is right two times a day, so who knows, maybe Patrick is due for two clean performances?

Heck I've even be happy if he skated well in the Team Event, but not in the individual event. He's motivated to help Canada with Team Gold, so maybe that will give him an extra push?

1. For the winners (at least) to have perfect or near-perfect skates.
2. For generally clean skates from the medallists.
3. For Mirai to be at the team event so she can (likely) have a medal.
4. For Scimeca/Knierim to skate a clean short program (preferably in the pairs event, but i'll take what I can get).

P&C and J&C skate their best, with P&C winning gold and J&C getting fair scores.
Mirai getting to skate the short in the Team competition.

Medvedeva winning Gold.
All golds being won by clean performances.
Carolina skating well enough to deserve her high scores. Failing that, whichever athlete outskates her on the day winning bronze.

Pairs gold to Sui/Han or S/M.

I did not approve of Keegan leaving USA for Canada, but once I saw him in that cowboy hat I had to change my mind, hot stuff! I needed to smoke a menthol cigarette to regain my composure.

Hello! I am new to this forum after my husband told me how funny and smart all of you are. Obviously Keegan is my favorite skater, I felt the same way you did Brenda about him leaving the US, but God preaches that forgiveness is important and Keegan is so darn cute in that cowboy hat that I can't help forgiving him. But no cigarettes for me, yuck!

Anyway, my Olympic wish is for him to have a great Olympic experience and show us the Olympic spirit with his cowboy hat. Do you think he will get to skate in the team event? I like him so much more than that Patrick Chan.

Mirai skates to the top of her ability with every jump clean both programs and wins a medal.
Chen hits all his quads and triple axles and medals. Gold would be awesome.
The Shib Sibs make no mistakes and leave no stone unturned, and medal.
Massot's back holds up and they win gold.

And....no one/pair falls on a jump and still wins a gold medal. All gold medalists and perfect and clean skates. Or is that too much to wish for.:D

1.Hubbell & Donohue medal :swoon:
2.Italy for an upset team bronze :p
3.I survive the drama and celebrations :40beers:
