What song are you listening to?

I was looking through my suggested Apple music playlists and found an Ella Fitzgerald playlist that included How Deep is the Ocean. I had never heard it before, or at least not sung by Ella Fitzgerald, it's absolutely gorgeous. After I finished the playlist I went back just to listen to it again.

I've been in the mood for James Taylor and JD Souther today. Totally love the song I'm listening to now. This song wouldn't have been the hit it was if JD hadn't accompanied James. They both gave it a unique sound.

Her Town Too

.....Sunday morning (before Christmas) - Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire (um, technically I think it's called "The Christmas Song" geez - brain freeze) - just Paul.

I am not in a great mood today. I want to lash out so I put on Pink's "U + UR Hand." It helps.

I don't like the songs of Rush and Supertramp because I don't like the lead voices in both bands. I used to work with a man who vacationed a week out of each year with Rush (when they were on tour) because he and Geddy Lee were old friends. I mentioned how much I disliked Rush before I knew this fact. But he was fine with that. He had plenty of bad stuff to say about Bruce Springsteen before he knew I was a fan. Variety is indeed the spice of life I guess...

I mostly listen to the classic rock one. I put that on instead of the radio when I am reading - no commercials.

Then how about this one?

Jonathan Edwards - Sunshine

This one came on a little while ago. Luckily my clicker has an info button on it to tell me the title and artist because I know this song well, but I've never heard the name Jonathan Edwards before. Looked him up on Wikipedia and he has released a ton of albums, but they don't even list his single releases. Often one-hit wonders have a few other singles that did moderately well, but it looks like Mr. Edwards is a true one-hit wonder.

Hello Goodbye - Beatles.

(It's not even Sunday morning yet. Just turned on my radio because they are no longer playing Christmas songs on my favorite classic rock stations, and there it was!)
