What song are you listening to?

Magical Mystery Tour

(And they just had a whole hour of Paul solos early for his birthday because they will be doing a live remote next Sunday and they have to play the usual stuff.)

There's no video on YouTube that isn't live yet where you can actually really hear the song, but the song did just come out around 9 PM.

Arcade Fire - Creature Comfort - on a loop. I'm so happy about this song.

Ok, so, it goes like this: 80’s bands and 80’s music, :barrel in general, and by popular demand -- banned in our household, :D :mitchell:, with few exceptions. :violin: One such exception would be The Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) w/ Scottish twin brothers Charlie & Craig Reid. These boys, God Bless ‘em … GREAT! The video … EPIC! It’s :gallopin1 and :kickass: all at the same time! Sets a perfect tone heading into a weekend! :saint: :inavoid: :p :rollin:

Also, listening to: Rockin' the Res - John Trudell.

I'll Meet You Halfway - Partridge Family (David Cassidy - swoon!!)

This week in 1971 (reminds me of my new tire swing and the transistor radio sitting on the sandbox!)

Two versions of I Don't Know How to Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar. A few years later, I was in a female ensemble group in our choir and we sang that song at a competition! People did know she was a prostitute, didn't they?

While I was listening to previous song - now we have Joy to the World - Three Dog Night, which reminds me of The Big Chill.

Indian Reservation - I heard the first note and knew what was coming. (Paul Revere and the Raiders) ...........

Listening to Lorde's new album. I can't believe how young she is. Very mature, thoughtful album. I'm in love with the song "Writer in the Dark."

I've heard a couple of songs on the radio that I really like - band called "Monster Truck". One of the genre classifications is "stoner rock". Oh dear.

A Whiter Shade of Pale - Gary Brooker w/ Procol Harum
A Salty Dog - Gary Brooker w/ Procol Harum.

I'll Be Back (actually it's over, I was sitting here listening to the harmonies)

O.k. - so I usually get on here or read other stuff on Sunday mornings while I'm waiting for the right Beatles song to come on to post it here. However, they just played Why Don't We Do It in the Road. :)

(back to the "right" ones - Oh Darling................I Should Have Known Better)

 Too funny! I've heard that as well. Self-explanatory, I guess. :saint:

Today's song is Wildfires – John Trudell
ETA: It's Trudell week, again! :kickass:

My husband just signed up for Spotify. Last night we were out at a campground visiting family, and a thunderstorm popped up and we had to hang out in the truck for half an hour. Husband says, have a listen to this - and played Manfred Mann's Earth Band's "Chance" album for me. What an awesome blast from the past! Haven't listened to that for 20+ years! :)

No Reply (the song by the Beatles, ha ha).

While I was typing that............Monkberry Moon Delight! (Paul and Linda before Wings)

More Spotify - the husband and I listened to the whole Supertramp "Crime of the Century" album driving back and forth to London yesterday. Haven't listened to that in forever either. Soooo good. :rollin:
