Lol and didn’t he have like 7 under rotations?By the way, https://ijs.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard/results/2022/29546/CAT007SEG016.html
This says Zhou only got one deduction on the LP. He fell twice didn't he?

Do you keep up with this thread? Vincent in in a higher tier. There's not a 99% chance of anything. It's 100% Vincent is going, and the only battle left would be Malinin vs. Brown, which was the page all the Brown super fans were on until the long program today. But seeing how all of a sudden Malinin seems to be a given by said people...I feel like Jason would be the safer choice over Vincent because once Vincent catches the UR/inconsistent bug he tends to keep it the rest of the season. I'm 99% sure USFS will send Vincent over Jason, but it's the truth: I trust Jason a lot more than Vincent. If a "bad" program from Jason is a < fall on a quad but good everything else, that's still a lot better than the worst of most skaters and especially a lot better than Vincent's worst. Although they did miss a < in Jason's SP, international callers are similarly lenient to Jason's URs. International callers are most certainly not similarly lenient to Vincent's URs.
Also, Hi to whoever told me earlier this season that Vincent having a good fall and then struggling in the new year wasn't a thing and my prediction was wrong.

LOL - the Twitter responses already... Never change FS Twitter, never change.Ok well now that's settled here come 40 pages on why that's bad
And Wylie Olympics Mitchell World's in 1992. Of course that was a long time ago. They did it in 2014, with Brown getting Olympics and Max Aaron being assigned Worlds. They could do the same here if they choose.
I think that was a function of Wylie simply retiring after the Olympics? And Wylie Olympics Mitchell World's in 1992. Of course that was a long time ago.
Even if he’s right, I wonder why he thought it’d be a good idea to tweet that. He does rely on having good relations with the USFS for his job, right? He’s not like a Brennan or Hersh type who’s whole thing is to be antagonistic towards them.Hmmmm... Looks like the post with the Tweet from McCarvel as well as McCarvel's tweet itself have both been deleted. Guess we'll continue to wait and see for the next 25 minutes or so.
I embedded it, so maybe it's no longer visible because the original tweet got deleted.Hmmmm... Looks like the post with the Tweet from McCarvel as well as McCarvel's tweet itself have both been deleted. Guess we'll continue to wait and see for the next 25 minutes or so.
It was the unofficial word from Nick McCarvel('s sources, I presume), that Malinin was on the team.Wait. Was there an announcement???
He works for NBC, just like Brennan works for USA Today. I think he is generally less adversarial than either of the other two but I'm not sure that's because of who pays the bills or because his approach seems to be much more straightforward as a sports journalist.Even if he’s right, I wonder why he thought it’d be a good idea to tweet that. Ahhh! makes sense!I embedded it, so maybe it's no longer visible because the original tweet got deleted.
Jason is a beautiful skater and has a great future as a show skater choreographer or coach but every criteria? No, no, no, no, no....
He felt so worthless after 2018...he uprooted his whole life to Canada and put in the work to completely overhaul his technique...he did everything they asked, met every criteria they wanted, was their second most consistent man the whole quad...
I am shocked Nick would post something like that since he is hired for so many team USA positions. I'm not surprised it was deleted.I embedded it, so maybe it's no longer visible because the original tweet got deleted.
I strongly suspect that they asked him to get clean, consistent quad or two if not more. No, no, no, no, no....

Which means he spoke when he should not have. Wasn't his place.I embedded it, so maybe it's no longer visible because the original tweet got deleted.
No, the uproar over their choice, be it Jason or Ilia…would break the internet. The USFS really needs to livestream on their social media accounts this announcement!
However it is announced, some will be ecstatic and some will be in tears. There are only 3 spots. This is the way of sports. ONly one gold medal, etc.No, the uproar over their choice, be it Jason or Ilia…would break the internet.![]()
Yeah, shame about that 2019 Worlds medal, otherwise he'd be a certain candidate, though I'm sure some of the TTW denizens would say he isn't voidy enough, just like Calalang/Johnson aren't voidy enough for TTW. Maybe we really should start a new version of TTW that is far more inclusive of North American and Asian skaters, lol.Vincent Zhou is like the poster boy for "team trainwreck." All the pieces are there except for consistency.
