I think they are either going to get really close pretty soon or this will become a cold case. If it’s not someone close to Nancy or the family, it’ll take longer to figure out suspects.

I believe it took them 45+ days to figure out and then find Bryan Kohberger after the 2022 University of Idaho murders.

Apparently law enforcement (rumored to be the Pima County Sheriff) discouraged them from offering that large of a reward sooner, concerned that it would deluge investigators with too many tips, especially false ones.
