This episode is going to make so many people around here sooo happy... :P
An entire episode about Beth with barely a walker in sight.

I thought the timeline from the fall of the prison to Terminus was like ten days, max.

So this story line is making no sense to me. How long was she with guy in the car? How long has she been at this hospital? I think it's a cool story line, actually, I just wish it was with different characters....

this is grosser than the cannibal scene. Why didn't she take one of the cars?

Carol will save the day! Except how did she get separated from Daryl? Who was with Daryl in the woods? :watch:

I think Daryl is with the young kid. But who the hell knows?

eta: oh my Ceiling Cat. Emily Kinney is just playing herself on this show. She's a dull interview as well....

I think Daryl was with the dude who we met way way back in the first few episodes. The black guy who had a kid and helped Rick out and then they ran into him again but he had gone kind of crazy so they let him be. We saw him at the very end of the first episode and haven't seen him since. I am betting that is who Daryl ran into.

Glad that Carol joined the last scene at least. This will help this story line (which isn't bad, just the acting is) a lot!

They're never going to get to Washington, are they?
They're going to keep getting separated and wandering the ring roads of Atlanta until all the guinea pigs are gone.
Sigh.

I haven't read the comics but would think that yes, they'll eventually get to Washington and end the epidemic. But then again, the zombies are becoming more skeletal and frail - one was killed with a mix-master blade in the food bank scene - and maybe they will starting re-dying off naturally.

You could read the summary available on Wikipedia. If you are into spoilers that is. I have and it is helpful in understanding some of what is going on.

Seriously, can we kill off Beth already, preferably before she sings again?

You know how the walkers are attracted to sounds? Perhaps they could tie Beth to a post, let her sing and attract all the walkers in the area to finally bite her vocal chords off.

ITA bring back the people we care about!!

Ok just saw the preview for next week on the Talking Dead. Glad Carol and Daryl will be featured :)

Abraham has had a much bigger role in the comics than in the series thus far. Maybe that's going to change. The writers and producers have done a good job changing things up from the comics (if you don't read them, you've no idea how much they've done. ) yet staying close to the storyline even if the characters have been switched around or added, such as Daryl. And, I guess some episodes have to be backstory episodes. There was much more in the comics about Abraham's family and what happened to them than was in the episode. They were all raped by the men he killed. A producer on Talking Dead said they opted to leave that out since they didn't want to essentially add new characters.

I'm not fond of the multiple timeline storylines. I thought we were done with that after last season, but apparently not.

I didn’t like the flashbacks either though I do like Abraham and I thought the explanation of his fervor was compelling.

Relatedly to Abraham and Eugene, has there been an announced end to The Walking Dead – like it will run 10 seasons or something? I like the show but appreciated the concept of chasing the cure. I think a never ending zombie apocalypse will go stale eventually. Even the actors are starting to look a little bored killing one more zombie.

That storyline was ended in the comics a long time ago. There are a number of other things that happen and the comic series is still going on. The story isn't really about the zombies, but about people and dealing with adversity.

My thoughts exactly. I find I have zero interest in Abraham and don't care for the actor playing him, either. Not so interested in Tara and Rosita, either. And Eugene is wearing on my nerves.

I don't mind a few multiple story-lines, but this one isn't engaging in terms of characters.

I finally got to watch last night's episode, and I thought it was okay. I like Eugene, mainly because the show needs to lighten up every now and then and he provides that. The fire truck scene was great. :)

To be fair, though, anything was going to seem better than last week. :shuffle:

ETA: OH MY GOD DID ANYONE SEE THE SNEAK PEEK ON TALKING DEAD? PLEASE LET THAT BE BETH PLEASE LET THAT BE BETH PLEASE LET THAT BE BETH....

I have a feeling the show wants to move past old stories from last season. I mean they dealt with Eugene's confession and wiping out Terminus quickly. (contrast that to when they dragged on the Governor issue forever) It's almost like they want to make the pace unpredictable (and the storyline different enough from the comics). I also hope Beth's hospital episode is IT. It doesn't relate to anything and no one really likes Beth. Please just show a little about how Carol saves the day and then get the hell out.

Why did Glenn and Maggie even take the bus with Abraham and co instead of staying behind with Rick?
