So, there are only three going through this week? I thought there was a twitter save or judges save. Huh.

Well, I think it's really clear that Blake will have a country team of Ken (a.k.a. Superman or Zach), Barbie (a.k.a. Emily Ann), and Barrett. And they undoubtedly will annoy me throughout the season. Bummer for Najah and Ivonne, who I prefer.

For Team Pharrell, I really am not sure what is going to happen. I'm really hoping Madi goes through. She's one of my favorites in the competition. I know Mark has been popular, but I didn't think he sang well tonight. I've never really liked Evan, but I think a lot of people do like him. I preferred Darius, Celeste and Riley to both Mark and Evan.

I liked Charles Grigsby's (AI season 2) version of 'Overjoyed' better than Evan's.
Everyone I hoped for, except for Ellie came back for the second chance.
Team Adam will be: Jordan, Shelby, and Amy. My wish is that anyone on the team makes it to the next round, but Amy definitely has to make it.
Team Gwen will be: Jeffrey, Viktor, and Braiden. My wish is the same team.
Team Pharrell will be: Madi, Mark, and Evan. My wish is anyone except for Riley makes it to the next round.
Team Blake will be: Zach, Emily Ann, and Barrett. Hoping it will be Nadjah, Zach and Barrett. Really, it should be just Nadjah

I don't understand why Blake put mumble mouth last. Despite the coaching, Barrett's verses were entirely in Arkansan. The choruses were fine, but geez, you'd think a theatre teacher could scare up 2 minutes of enunciation.

I actually didn't like ANYONE on Team Blake. Except Nadjah. But you know he is putting his eggs in the Emily Ann basket when she sang a hymn... because no matter how badly she sang it (and it sounded like she missed close to half of the notes) it gets tons of downloads.

Do the coaches have control over the editing of the pre-performance videos? Just wondering, because basically all of Blake's were uplifting things about how popular the singers have become at home etc., while Pharrell's were actually about helping and ... you know ... coaching them.

Do the coaches have control over the editing of the pre-performance videos? Just wondering, because basically all of Blake's were uplifting things about how popular the singers have become at home etc., while Pharrell's were actually about helping and ... you know ... coaching them.

The coaches definitely don't have control over the editing. But they obviously have control over what they say themselves and can promote their singers as they want to do. Maybe they don't show Blake coaching because he doesn't do much coaching. Or, maybe it's because they are pandering to a certain demographic, just as they were with Emily Ann's song choice. It's almost formulaic with Blake at this point. Have a team that includes a number of country singers and at least a couple of teenaged girls. Make sure at least one of the youngsters is a blonde country singer. And add in some Christianity and patriotism during the performances and videos. And annoy me by always having someone stay in the competition longer than their talent warrants.

Apparently, only two people go through on votes and a coach gets to save one singer. On Team Blake, Emily Ann is going through along with either Barrett or Zach. I suspect Blake will choose Barrett if Zach goes through. If Barrett goes through, Blake will probably choose Zach, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes with Ivonne in order to prove that he isn't strictly country and because he does seem to like having teenaged girls on his team.

Team Adam: Jordan is definitely going through on the vote. Amy probably is going through on the vote. If she doesn't, Adam will put her through because he really likes her. If Shelby doesn't go through on the vote, Adam would be an idiot not to put her through (which may mean that he'll pick Keith ). Adam is not quite that stupid, so it will be Shelby. I think the producers also will want Shelby to go through so that they can promote this competition over country singers between Adam and Blake. Sadly, although Shelby clearly is the stronger singer, I think Emily Ann will get the votes and last longer.

Team Pharrell: It seems like Madi will go through, which makes me really happy. It's a close call between Evan and Celeste. Unfortunately, I think Evan will go through. If so, I think Pharrell will have a tough time choosing between Mark, Darius, and Celeste, but probably will go with Mark. If Celeste goes through on the vote, I think Pharrell will choose Mark. I preferred Darius, Celeste, and Riley to Mark, but as long as Madi goes through, I don't care a whole lot.

Team Gwen: Jeffrey is clearly going through on the vote. It will be either Ellie or Braiden going through on the vote as well. If Ellie doesn't go through on the vote, I think Gwen will pick her. If Ellie goes through, I think Gwen might go with Braiden because they seem to like having dorky boys on the show and they already have a cheesy, good-looking guy with Zach. But, it wouldn't surprise me if she chooses Viktor because she likes the "performers."

I think Pharrell and Blake brought the right people back. I hope they go through.

There are too many good singers left. I wish the teams would be 3 people voted thru & 1 coach's pick, then let the voters decide. Because I seldom agree with the coach's pick. And I disagreed with 2 of the comeback picks. Gwen is the only one who didn't waste it. I liked Nadjah coming back but then Blake gave her an dated song that no one was going to download.

I wonder if Barrett's download sounded better than he did live because the only lyric I could understand was I drive your truck. I think Zach & Barrett will be voted thru & Blake will definitely choose Emily Ann. The sky would fall if he let her go.

Pharrell is going to have a hard time. I think Madi & Celeste will get thru on votes since they charted but he seems to be really partial to Darius, Mark, & Evan so I don't know who he'll choose. Of the 3 I think Darius did the best job. I was surprised Celeste charted. She's ok but I didn't see anything unique about her. Evan charted so Pharrell might go with him.

Yup. Up until now, I thought she was doing ok against the guys. Not anymore. I guess she's just going to have to really focus on Jeffrey.

Blake actually has some good voices and they sound good together. Maybe he should smush them into a band like One Direction.

I don't think that Gwen has been playing the game well at all, other than picking Jeffrey and getting lucky that nobody else turned for him. But, I thought she'd be smart enough to look at the ITunes downloads and pick accordingly. Nope. Both Ellie and Viktor far outsold Korin. Gwen seriously sucks at this game. And to make things worse, she'd not even entertaining.

ETA: I'm surprised that Emily Ann did not get through on votes.

IMO, Adam definitely has the strongest team, but country singers and Blake do so well on this show. It's a no-brainer for Jordan to go through. But, the only other ones that went through that I'm interested in are Madi, Jeffrey, Shelby, and Amy. Blake's entire team does nothing for me.

Might as well crown Jordan the winner now. I predict that the top 2 will be Jordan and Emily. I think Gwen chose Korin b/c she needs the most help and could benefit from the show. I was hoping she would choose Viktor, but he's already a seasoned performer, so he doesn't need her help as much. I remember in season 2 when Xtina eliminated Jesse b/c she felt he didn't need her help. All the coaches were shocked b/c Jesse was one of the front runners. Well, it doesn't matter that Gwen chose Korin b/c she won't be hanging around that long.

This is a guy's year, again. Jordan and Jeffrey are really strong and Braiden will get the teenybopper vote, either Zach or mumblemouth will take the country niche. The strongest women, as much as I like Madi, Shelby and Amy, are not going to win, I think.

I can't remember who beat her in the knockouts but at the time I thought it was the best decision. I hoped he would keep Blaine whom I thought was the best rocker on the show.

I agree with you that Gwen should have picked Ellie. That "who can I help the most" is a cop-out. Pick who was better on the night, not who is the neediest.

Blake was true to form. Has he ever had a team without a young blonde country girl? Since Barrett & Zach are country I really wish he had chosen Nadjah. I liked her performance (even with that horrible song he saddled her with) much more than Emily Ann's.

Pharrell was in the toughest spot. I didn't expect Evan to go thru so I thought he would be able to keep both Darius & Mark along with Madi. I was surprised Evan charted better than the other 2, esp since I thought next to Madi, Darius did the best job on his team. I was surprised Pharrell didn't pick him.

I thought Blake was surprisingly honest when he picked Emily Ann. He didn't say she was the best singer, just that he thought she had the most potential to "find success" on the show.

I thought honest would have been "she's the cutest blonde I have on my team". But I agree she would probably go farther than Morgan.

Madi deservedly beat Amy in the knockouts. I definitely prefer Madi, I also think Adam did a bad job choosing a song for Amy this week. It didn't suit her. But, he was smart to keep Amy. She is much more popular than the ones Adam didn't choose. This was her weakest performance, but she far outsold Blaine. Blaine probably would have gone home in the next couple of weeks. Amy won't.
