(my rough translation)
Shoma: I'm happy. It's the first word which comes to my mind. Finally I'm back to my usual self.

(about he did 4T-2T instead of 4T-3T) I pulled it again. However, I could leave the mistake behind [during the program].

(about Lambiel) He makes me enjoy skating during training. I naturally feel I want to compete together with him.

(about advice from Lambiel) "Energy!" "Fight with a good self-confidence!"

Is this article/interview basically the same that you posted?
"[Lambiel] gave that sense of enjoyment in skating back to me."

Thanks for sharing the article! The articles are different but both of the two articles are based on the same interview with him. It's so nice to hear Shoma re-discovered the pure joy of skating. :cheer2:

Is there anyone other than me who wondered who is the man in the K'nC together with Shoma in SP? That's a former rugby player (and a current manager of figure skating club in Chukyo Uni).

(my rough translation of the excerpt)
Kenji Hayashi, the manager of Chukyo Uni's figure skating club, noticed the sign of Uno's redemption just before SP started.

On the day Hayashi was to sit in K'nC with Uno. Originally it was his temporary coach Stephane Lambiel who was to sit with him. However, since Lambiel's another student Koshiro Shimada was scheduled to skate just after Uno. It was all sudden that Hayashi was asked to sit with Uno instead of Lambiel. Hayashi who used to be a team Japan member in rugby when he was a high school student is usually in charge of back stage works. It was rare for him to experience such a special role. So he was nervous on the day.

Observing Hayashi's face, Uno said to Hayashi just before he skated "I'll show a performance which can make you smile. So just wait and see." The result was as you know. The manager said "His words made me believe he would do well." Uno is such a caring nice guy. When I, as a reporter, heard this story, I was so much relieved knowing it was very former Uno himself.

____

Thank you Hayashi for staying with Shoma in K'nC! (y)

Is Shoma still working with Takeshi Honda or this collaboration was only a summer thing?

It was originally planned Takeshi works as his jump coach a few times every month until Shoma decides a new main coach. I've heard no mention about their collaboration after GP final finished. Shoma left Japan to work with Lambiel, so I guess Shoma didn't have chance to work with Takeshi in Japan after the final.

Copying my posts from the Japanese news thread in GSD.
Shoma declined his spot for 4CC. He said he wants to get accustomed to his new environment first. Tomono has replaced him.
Shoma announced his comment through the fed (my rough translation):
From the beginning of this year I seriously started to train in a new environment abroad. First of all I want to get accustomed to my new environment for being grounded. I also want to improve in my consistency on jumps to prepare for Worlds. I'll work on my programs' perfection with my coach Lambiel. For those reasons I made this choice this time. To those who were looking forward to seeing my skate in 4CC, my sponsor companies and media, I feel very sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for all your concern. I continue to devote myself working hard day by day for showing my best skates in Worlds as the culmination of this season. Thanks for your support in advance.

Nationals bronze medalist Yuma Kagiyama talked about Shoma at Youth Olys. Go Yuma!

IIRC several days back Shoma was training with Lambiel at Austria since their home rink is not available due to Youth Olys. Today (Yesterday?) Lambiel skated at the opening ceremony at YO. He is so busy! Commentators mentioned a bit about Shoma during Lambiel's performances. Is the boy (Naoki?)who skated with Lambiel a Shoma's rink mate under Lambiel in Lambiel's school?

Clips & photos from practices at Challenge Cup.

He did a strange move (stretching his arms in front of his face on a landing). Wonder if it's to fix his landings?

Spins and some moves during a free practice. He looks relaxed.

With his brother Tatsuki

According to Tatsuki Shoma (a cat lover but cat allergic) said he's happy to see this cute one at the entrance of the rink. The cat lives in the rink.

Article

It says he'll do 4F, 4S and 4T (four quads in total) in FS. He said his goal here is to show good skates by putting things together. He also wishes this competition will add some upward effect to his feelings.

Thanks!

I just watched Shoma's LP from Challenge Cup. And wow, has he been working hard! The exercise of keeping his shoulders square when he lands posted above is definitely working and is really going to pay off in GoE. His skating really has that oozing quality across the ice so that it seems as though the surface is just too small for him.

I loved how they brushed up his FS. Here is a comparison clip of Challenge Cup and Japanese Nats.

I loved this choreo added.
