Thanks @rosewood for the updates and links! I just love both of Shoma's programs this year - especially the SP - I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love the different music and the strong rhythm which he just ROCKS IMO!

The free skate looked more secure than the SP and I too love the little changes. I also loved watching Lambiel doing the program with him from the sidelines!

I hope Shoma :kickass: at Worlds!

Shoma's message about the cancellation of Worlds
(my rough translation)
I'm sorry that this season will end this way, but first of all, I hope that people around the world will be able to take back safe daily lives as soon as possible. I believe the darkest hour is just before the dawn and I will continue to fulfill the athlete's role and do what I can do now as much as possible.

At least I could watch his wonderful performance in 4CC's FS. Thanks Shoma. I'm looking forward to seeing how your next step will go nicely. :cheer2:

Live streaming is ongoing. Shoma is there, too.
I'm putting this on my list of exercise-at-home options. It's recorded in youtube if you missed the live stream.

On his official site he announced that he continues both of his programs from last season.

(my rough translation of his message)
Although the difficult time still continues, I'll leave for my home rink in Switzerland very soon to prepare for competitions. After all considerations about this season, I decided to continue fighting with my last season's programs. It's partly because making new programs was difficult since I've practiced away from Stephane. And another reason is my programs have been improving in this second season.

In Japan I've put a lot of effort into the steps, and I was able to practice very well, so I have no worries.

I will continue to do my best and am looking forward to performing in front of you.

Shoma's arrived at his home rink. All the luck for him! I wish he'll improve on the artistic side this season by working with Lambiel for a longer time than last season.

BTW, he's a national champion. He has automatic bye through Regionals/Sectionals to Nationals. So he'll be able to stay in Switzerland until the middle of December if he wants. It's reported that Japan's government seem planning to stop giving the 2 weeks self quarantine restrictions to top level athletes when they enter to Japan for participating in competitions. I'm not sure when it will start, but I wish it will apply to Shoma when he comes back home for Nationals.
