I did notice in his footwork sequence when he goes down on his knee he slipped a little and grimaced. Hopefully it is not

)Shoma's comment re participating in FS despite his injury:
In brief it's due to my pride. When my coach asked me "Why do you want to get out there?", I answered "This is how I live my life as an athlete Shoma Uno."

Take care of your ankle. Let it heal properly!
Probably it's this Olympic Channel thing, done in collaboration with Toyota:And also she saw he was shooting a commercial for Toyota.

In the end of last month he announced to withdraw from Challenge Cup prior to Worlds.Bless him. So happy he finally won a major title but can he please now rest and can the JSF do something sensible and pull him from the next competition he clearly shouldn't be doing before Worlds?

Didn't she get enough ISU points to skate in the final flight in SP at Worlds by winning 4CC? If so, she doesn't need to go to another ISU competition. We'll see.
I'm glad the silver streak has been broken! Bravo Shoma!
Next, Worlds. But first let's heal that ankle please!

According to this new article someone around him revealed that he partially tore his ligament in the right ankle at Nats, and since then he went through sprains/breaks-for-recovering repeatedly.

I don't think he has reached the best version of himself as a skater yet. I wish he'll take enough time to recover fully. Fingers crossed.
I think it has been unfortunate that for the last few seasons Yuzu has been injured early and taken - quite rightly - the time away from the ice in order to recover as fully as possible and make successful returns to the ice. I do think this has added to the pressure on Shoma and this, added to his warrior-like approach to skating can't be helping these injuries. I hope he is able to get the rest and recovery he clearly needs once this season is over.
