Well, then why even compete domestically?

I think they want to compete since China has this huge Winter National Games this season which is like the most important domestic winter sports event since 2016. The Inner-Club series happening now is
the qualifying series for this game so they are competing to qualify. Moreover, Hong Kong has an extra spot in every discipline. Even if they didn’t qualify, they can still compete in the National Games. I guess that’s a big opportunity for them.

As for international competitions, I’m not sure about Hong Kong FSA’s policy, just heard some rumors that they won’t compete. I feel sorry for them if that's true, because they are also age eligible for JGP and JW (She is 15 and he is 16).

Wow. That would be a shame if they weren't able to compete internationally. I thought they were much older when I watched the video of their RD - they're pretty good for their age! They have a lot of potential.

Has the domestic list been released yet?

Juniors:
Hagan & Hagan
Cui & Eckert
Bushell & Haddad (UK)
Melillo & Mintz
Renzi & Lissauer
Stapert & Korotcov
Ilin & Cain
Calhoun & Veselukhin
Pedersen & Chen
Cialella & Goldshteyn
Epps & Gilman

Seniors:
Koncius & Shchepetov
Flores & Desyatov
Murphy & Levitt
Kowar & Schwappach
Wolfkostin & Tsarevski

Tkachenko and Kiliakov’s RD is like a fusion/homage of Punsalan and Swallow’s race car program and the Cutting Edge (the main characters’ short program). They’ve got my favorite costumes so far in the RD.
There's nothing like a good race car program:).

Sarah Feng & Anthony Ponomarenko:

Yes I also thought about F&P program when I watched T&K and I did not compare the programs but felt I saw it somewhere already

There was an adorable car program by a pairs team that I remember from an earlier nationals. I think, 2007 in Spokane. Maybe Tanovich & Chau, who won the novices? I'm not sure.

And, of course, there was Yagudin's SP.

Car programs are their very own special genre, I think.

(I never like Punsalun & Swallow's:p).

A bunch of the Lake Placid videos were deleted today. I maybe should have said something earlier and maybe it wouldn't have done any good, but I am going to go ahead and remind folks that it is safer to keep newer video links in the Kiss & Cry or to send them to people via private message than to post them in The Dance Hall/The Trash Can or the Great Skate Debate. Particularly any video that might have copyrighted music, which will likely be a great many of this season's RD selections.

sad,,i have not seen any vids of the seniors international dance

Randomness: I thought this was Andrew Poje, but it turned out to be Caroline Kennedy's son. Either way, HOLLA! :grope:

The 80's music seems to be working really well for the Rhythm Dances this season. I think dancing to music with a strong beat like this is helping the teams with their dancing. The music helps the teams connect with the dance rhythm. The dances are looking much more like ballroom dancing. I really like that.

Well, let’s face it, classical music is beautiful but only the ballets and waltzes are really designed for dancing.

Reminder that tomorrow is the Quebec summer dance event.

Per the RD starting order list - the Japanese senior team and HolBiel are WD. But, the rest are all still listed - good lineup if they're all there!

Also - Wang/Liu are competing in the last Chinese Inter-Club Competition - here's their RD video from that -

Sweets, that's not their full RD - it's a 30 second clip from practices at IAM.
