I skated in all three of these shows and can provide video of Mirai if anyone wants! Very well-done show with lights/sound/overall flow. I had skated with her before in 2018 and she was so much happier this past weekend (and we got to talk post show too when she wasn't as stressed with skating) Happy that it's over though and I get next week off (although if anyone wants me to go to Ice Chips and give a recap let me know)!

So is there no free parking for the event? For skam there was a free parking lot with a shuttle but 128 is a paid MBTA lot (I know it’s just $7 on weekdays and $3 on weekends but we did have to wait 30 min after the event let out for the first shuttle to start leaving after skam).

Quick notes from Ice Chips:

• Solid attendance for an ice show - the arena was about 80% full for the afternoon session.
• Thorough job incorporating most everyone in the club at every single level from the youngest ones to the adult ranks.
• Besides Nathan, the club's senior "stars" included Gabriella Izzo, Emily Chan/Spencer Howe, Jimmy Ma, and Maxim Naumov. All were entertaining and clean in their jumps, and it was clear that they weren't just seniors, but elite national ones at that.
• Gosh, Nathan has sure blossomed into a complete skater now. The presentation and polish are all there, and it's been amazing to see how far he's come from when many of us remember him breaking out at 2010 Spokane Nats.
• There was a "Top Gun" number where the older guys came out in tank tops and cargoes. It could have been thoroughly but was kind of flat, except for Misha Mitrofanov who was quite noticeable. If you thought Zach Donohue was built, Misha's not just got all that, but he's absolutely ripped too.
• I had the honor of running into Matt Savoie, his husband, and son. I noted how they made for such a handsome family and how his skates gave a lot of us proud, happy tears, not just Dick Button.
• I took a skating shuttle for once and survived.
