Just caught up! Good job by the top three, loved Deanna’s dress but also not a fan of the program or music. Enjoyed the Germans and Australians. Good to start to the season

Someone legitimately need to explain to me why teams use j marcotte for choreo. I’m being honest. She can’t be THAT much cheaper than Wilson/bottle/nichol/vipond/shae Lynn/any one of the other Canadian choreographers who occasionally produce decent choreo. Her programs are brutal.

I'm guessing like SKAM, tomorrow and Sunday will have better attendance.

These are my thoughts too. Friday is the final work day for lots of people and the thought of rushing through dinner and scrambling to get back to the arena for a 6pm start might not have appealed much to them. Saturday and Sunday could have quite good attendance,, I think (hope).

I may have to change that to used to be my favorite.

I keep telling you to switch to dance, you won’t even notice the Russians aren’t there. Watch S/D’s Dune FD for example….there’s plenty of athleticism disguised as great performances.

I want to visit Deanna’s dermatologist. That forehead!

For any local fans, a trip to the box office will get them tickets at 50% and yesterday they were offering free tickets for students!

I just got caught up.
UZB: “Agree to disagree” but I loved their elegant textured silvery grey outfits (I live grey). Solid elements except for hand down on jump, nice lines, lots of potential, way too slow, look nervous. Room for improvement: SPEED, personality. I like them though.

POL: nice speed, sparkle in presentation, nice lines, good elements. Too far apart in SBS elements, loses unison in jumps. I like this team too. Like her dress.

USA: love seeing them back to form. Nice color dress. Good speed, proximity in SBS elements, nice
lines. She needs to commit to the jump rotation, need work on unison.

CAN 1: very slow, elements are sloppy, SBS jumps good, he does not look ready for the lifts but they muscle it out, lots of room for improvement.

NED. Her costume is distracting me. A little Crashy twist and they didn’t look ready for the jumps, but they gained speed afterwards. Good proximity until the SBS spins (lack of unison). Nice crisp throw jump.

AUS: was that a double twist? Nice stroking, nice speed into great jumps and good throw. Beautiful lines and lifts. Good proximity. A little loss of spin unison and very annoying music cut, but I think I love them!

GER: ah here's some power. Getting bored by black unitards. Tw and jumps went well and they looked secure but then tech/unison comes apart in the steps and spins. Fun music. Personality from her.

CAN 2: like her dress. Nice big twist. Good speed, attention to details. Far apart in SBS jumps and he grinds it. Felt like she didn’t need the foot down in the throw. Good proximity in spins but he gets a little faster than she does. Not a fan of the music, it kinda of stops and starts.
