I fear the bigger jumps are going to have a second look and send his score tanking. 4T was definitely under, I suspect both the Lutz and the Axel he fell on were, too.

Program is not nearly as effective at showing off his nice line and back as his SP did.

I really like Sato, but this program is so much just skating end to end until the step sequence. Just not at all as interesting as it needs to be.

I’ll give Sato credit for trying really hard, but I think if he’d tried a bit less, he could have done more of the non-jump stuff. He’s a better skater than these falls would show.

Right now, Sato's TES is above both Cha and Yamamoto. We'll see what the tech panel does.

Doesn't really feel like he should beat them, though.

Mark K did a 5 quad program today, albeit a step out on the 4-3 combo, but unless you land them all, the skater is so tired they sometimes struggle getting through the program. I think the falls take so much more energy out of the skater. But 5 and 6 quads are the future of the top male skaters.
