@Jenny You got one argument that it’s fake. Others are that it says “certified copy” and is not the original; that it’s all typed; that it says “Harry” not “Henry” for signature; it’s not signed by a doctor (seems UK bc’s don’t require that as there’s no space specifying it); and that it’s photoshopped completely and entirely fake.

Because there was a surrogate and the baby is not their bio child (which would actually be adoption but whatever) or there is no baby at all. Or maybe both. 🙄

FYI - in an IVF Surrogacy no adoption is involved. Kind of like renting a room womb for a while.

From Family Formation

In a surrogacy, a woman becomes pregnant through in vitro fertilization (IVF) using the intended parents' sperm and egg (or the sperm and/or egg of a donor). Intended parents have a legally binding contract with the surrogate. The surrogate cannot change her mind and keep the baby after it is born.

Not that the difference makes any difference.

There is one particularly popular rumor that Meghan in the photo op was not holding Archie because she's actually not the mother so she's not allowed to physically hold him. And that Harry actually lives with the real mother because Meghan is a man. The mother's whereabouts are unknown in this theory. Maybe she's locked in the basement of Frogmore cottage along with Tessa and Scott's five secret babies?

Someone needs to do a rock opera to this. And then there will be a soundtrack. Which will be skated by perhaps Chock and Bates? - he will need to grow a beard of course.

I’m not the one who is unaware of that. The conspiracy theorists seem to have no clue of the difference between Surrogacy and adoption. They talk about it as if it is adoption and the baby is biologically the surrogate mother’s child with an unknown father. 🙄

@canbelto I think you’ve come up with something: what if Archie IS Scott and Tessa’s secret child????

OK, time to get back to the important questions on style, formatting, and why the Brits don't believe in commas:

Meghan is listed as Rachel Meghan Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex (HRH after her name, The before Duchess)

vs. Harry's His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Cambridge (HRH precedes Christian name, no The before Duke, no mention that he's a prince)

and Kate's Catherine Elizabeth Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge (for George)
vs. William's His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis Duke of Cambridge

Meanwhile, on Beatrice's birth certificate, the parents are listed as:
Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York (no Christian names whatsoever) -- also, no space for a mother's occupation
His Royal Highness Prince Andrew Albert Christian Edward Duke of York -- occupation Lieutenant, Royal Navy

Crown Princess Victoria is hiking again. This update features:
  • Cows
  • Vickan in denim
  • Estelle in sunglasses
  • Guys in traditional outfits
  • A football match
  • A horse
  • A statue of indeterminate purpose

William is attending the FA final today as its president. And sources are certain Catherine is putting the final touches on her exhibit for the Chelsea Flower Show, though it has not been confirmed. (Per various royal sites and one royal reporter).

@Vagabond It has been reported that their nanny is a M-F employee. If true, you could be on to something. But I'd think she is available as needed for weekend events since things like Trooping the Colour and Remembrance Day that they have to attend are on weekends. It is said that they do like to make sure that at least one of them is at home for bedtime every night though which explains more solo than joint evening events.

That is a gorgeous dress. That's how it's done, royal ladies.

I think the British tradition of matching the page and bridesmaid dresses to the colour of the bride’s gown looks so much better than the bright clashes we often see with North American weddings. The similar colours make for such lovely photos!

And William missed last year's FA Cup final because he was being his brothers best man. And as he is also spearheading an initiative that is using footballers to talk about mental health issues I'm sure he felt he needs to be at the FA Cup final today.

And Kate being at Chelsea makes sense as this weekend is the final push to build the gardens. Who knows maybe they will be at the evening reception.
