RIP Neil Simon

He changed the landscape of the theatre, forever, with humor and intelligence.
His work enriched my life, for many years.

Many thanks, for all your contributions.
RIP

I was surprised to learn a few months ago that he'd married Elaine Joyce. I remember her from game shows of my childhood, where she was often on with her first husband, Bobby Van. Neil Simon brought so much laughter to the world with his writing. RIP

Late here but just realizing he was behind the fantastic Murder by Death. I only recently discovered it, but now realize that one of my other favorites—Clue— borrowed *heavily* (almost ridiculously) from it.

I suspect in the 60's and 70's and even into the 80's if you wanted to know the name of a playwright who was "the man" (or woman) on Broadway it was Neil Simon. Maybe we will see new productions of his plays following his death. RIP.
