Not the magnitude of Doris Day or Tim Conway, but yet another one gone this week. I don't think I ever saw an episode of the Mod Squad, but I loved Twin Peaks! Rest well, dear lady

Also another fan of Twin Peaks and I’m glad she had her happy ending in the revival.

I think she resembled Butyrskaya greatly in her prime.

Btw- her daughter Rashida is best known for The Office and then as a starring role in Parks & Recreation.

Oh, Peggy Lipton. I loved Mod Squad back-in-the-day. People die everyday, but that reality is brought home whenever we hear about a number of back-to-back passings away of well-known personalities, especially those we may have grown up with in popular culture.

Peggy Lipton was so pretty and I believe a forerunner of the fearless young female cop, especially as part of a trio with two male undercover officers.

Lipton was only 72. I'm sorry to hear about this. Peggy had two daughters with Quincy Jones, whom she divorced in 1990: Kidada and Rashida Jones. My condolences to Lipton's family and friends.

From the NYTimes obit, Peggy Lipton:
“The hardest thing to know is your own worth, and it took me years and years to find out what mine is.”

I wasn't familiar with Lipton's memoir in which she revealed having been sexually molested as a child by a relative. That's terrible to hear (albeit such experiences are sadly not uncommon). That must be in part why it took her a long time to find her self-worth.
