I do hope
@Really watched Kaetlyn win her Worlds Gold! She was so much in my thoughts
Last weekend, I went over there with Kaetlyn's program on my tablet and got her to watch it... she was kind of sick at the time and hadn't talked to me all weekend, but I could tell she was glued right in on that. When it was over, she looked at me and simply said "again", so we watched it again. When she saw Ravi and Kaetlyn sitting in the Kiss and Cry on the second loop, she whispered "Ravi is such a good coach" (Ravi coached Kami, so Lee knows and likes him a lot). Then we watched her awards presentation (you know, where she got tangled up?) and saw her get her medal... she looked all misty and whispered "That's pretty frickin' cool... good for Kaetlyn."
Then she slept, again. She has been on Antibiotics again, trying to kill off one of those opportunistic bugs you get when you are just laying around, so she hasn't made much progress. I've been away (working up north, fly-in, fly-out) during the weeks, just getting home on weekends, so I haven't had much to report. I'll get over to the school on Monday to pick up mail, and we can sit and look through the cards. It's so nice of you guys to reach out to her; she really likes it when she is awake, but when she is sick, she just doesn't talk much, so it's hard to tell if she likes me reading to her or if she just tolerates me.
Thanks Pat, for sending the videos. I can never find that stuff online. I'm sort of youtube-challenged.
Kami was up last weekend, and saw Lee more than I did; gave her a pedicure, manicure, had a little girl time. I mostly stayed out of there, played Easter with the little girls and hung out with the son-in-law... I had a head cold, and didn't want to give it to Lee, so when I was there, it was isolation protocol. This weekend will be better.
*** added: Yesterday, just as I was climbing into the little plane to fly back out, my calendar chimed to remind me that it was Day 500. Wow. It was a really sobering moment.
