Really, part deux

On Monday morning, Lee had yet Another surgery to implant a new shunt... everything went well, and 2 days later, it seems to be working fine. Her neurosurgeons are cautiously pleased with the outcome, to the point that they have upgraded her condition and moved her out of ICU for the first time since November 13. She still isn't responding, but the tests don't show any damage, and her clinical picture seems to be improving, albeit slowly.

The #1 Neurosurgeon around here is optimistic; he says that her brain has sustained 'multiple insults', but that the nature of her troubles might have spared her serious damage. I am following his lead in This, and am sticking close to her, Waiting for Christmas to Come https://g.co/kgs/S3m5XA

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers; we want you to hug your loved ones, treasure the moments, and if you've been waiting to do something, just go do it.
Hopefully you will break out of this Groundhog Day movie experience. Definitely going to really enjoy US Nationals next month.

Thinking of you both.

I don’t think that I can begin to imagine what you are going through. Your strength in supporting Lee has been incredible. I hope you have friends and family around that are looking after you too.

Sending you all love.
I second this post and am quoting it because I can't say it any better. Keep the faith in the medical staff that has done so well. Be gentle on yourself. You have performed at least as heroically as they have....:respec:

Gerry, it is good to hear that Lee is still hanging in there. May you and your family find some happiness in this holiday season and I hope 2018 brings Lee and your family the improvement you have waited so patiently to see.

For most of us Christmas Day and Boxing Day 2017 are now history, we're dealing with the last few things to be accomplished in 2017, and looking forward to 2018.

I'm hoping that for @Really, @Gerry and family there was some "good stuff" at Christmas and that 2018 will bring only good things!

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
