Does anyone know what happened? Did they look fine after? Gabby has been posting on her instagram since so I am going to assume she is okay.

I asked someone who was there and she said Gabby was alright visually, they've repeated some step sequences and made the lift once again after some time (Guillaume was extra careful), then they made the stationary lift and also went through Tango patterns few times
 
Poor them that was a nasty fall looks like her head hit the ice I hope she is okay she might not have symptoms now but they could show up later, should have stopped and go to the hospital right away
 
I hope they will not be tentative with that lift in competition. That only leads to self-doubt and low GOE.

It doesn't look like there many changes. I was hoping they would add something more to their twizzles in particular. They look good together in those new costumes, the all pink doesn't look as saccharine next to Guillaume's costume somehow. I still prefer the costumes from IdF, and the original stationary lift that had more interesting positions. Praying Gabi uses the RD costume from IdF, which may be my favorite ice dance costume in years.

It's so good to see them on the ice. The break after Nationals felt like months.
 
During a video posted a while ago it showed that they were having a hard time with the old lift from IdF and they were working on it right when they got back. I am going on a limb but I think Guillaume's back might not have appreciated the old version.

Yes, I wondered the same. I wonder if they have to change something in their training now that they're working with the circus performers. Gabi posted an IG story joking about her back hurting and I've been worried about their health all season.
 
I hesitated to post this because this thread has returned to being light-hearted and positive and enjoyable, and this topic is not. But I thought what Gabriella had to say is worth reading.

I don't know if all of you are following the thread about John Coughlin but here's the background for those who haven't read it. A fan compiled a list of people she called "Trash People in Skating" for their social media responses to John's death. It included a wide range of actions: people who outright shamed and blamed John's accusers, people who donated to his family, people who praised John and remembered him fondly, people who simply acknowledged his death without also mentioning his accusers. It also listed people who liked any of those posts, and that included Gabriella. I don't know what kind of post she liked.

I have some strong opinions about this list and the fans who have taken it upon themselves to "educate" the skaters, but I'm very glad that Gabriella's response shows her to be a thoughtful, empathetic person who is willing to listen even when criticized by a stranger.

This practice was great. Their new costumes are great (they also have new ones for the rhythmic dance BTW).

The same color for Gaby and Guillaume but light color for Gaby and dark for Guillaume.

They worked very hard to fine tune their programs. They rehearsed last Saturday and even on Sunday, a few hours before going to the airport though weather conditions were terrible. Given the snow storm, their flight was delayed. They were in the end quite exhausted when they arrived in Minsk on Monday at around noon. The fall was “ok” considering their painful trip combined with a jet lag of 8h time difference. And Guillaume managed to minimize the fall impact with his left arm/hand to protect Gaby.

This free dance is now mature and it’s a brilliant program. That’s the most important news after this practice. It’s another gem...

HD videos of today’s free dance practice are available on my instagram for those interested. I’m not 100% happy with my White Balance settings as it’s not obvious enough that Guillaume’s top and pant are both dark purple. Will correct it next time! Still, one can see he’s not wearing black clothes but some fine tuning is required!

Hummm... Regarding the new RD costumes and given what happened in the previous G&G thread, I have decided to share the minimum but I am sure some “ int’l reporter” (or pretended to be) will answer the question!
 
Can you just let us know if you like them? Knowing Gabby and Guillaume I am sure they are great, they tend to have good style.
