I'm going to try to watch it if work allows me to. Wonder how long it will last? Will I be the only person watching the livestream from a courthouse? I feel alone in my obsessive skating fandom....I hope Max gets lots of love on the livestream. I don't know if I'll see it live, its at an awkward time for me.
Thanks again for transcribing the entire FB Live chat and posting it in the GSD thread here (click on the Spoiler tag): https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...irement-from-competition.103865/#post-5352620Lots more interesting stuff, I'll do a proper breakdown when I get home tonight.
Max Aaron fan off and on the ice for life here!!
Thanks Max for your fighting spirit.
We wish @MaxTAaron nothing but the best in his post-skating career. For 9 years, he has represented his rink, his club & his country with the utmost of class & sportsmanship. Thank you, we will miss you.

Me: https://twitter.com/SylviaUnseen/status/987495563011780608Nothing but admiration and respect for @MaxTAaron as he embarks on the next phase of his life. A true sportsman and a gentleman, he embodies everything that is good about competition.
Max: I told your lovely parents in Salt Lake City last September that I was certain you would become successful in finance ("making millions" might have passed my lips & they seemed enthusiastic, haha). I'm SO glad I got to say hi & shake your hand there. Thank You & Best Wishes!
to Max!It feels like yesterday I was just lacing up my first pair of figure skates, dreaming to be one of the best. I have certainly experienced so many amazing moments throughout my career that will last a lifetime. To end a career saying that I have lived it with no regrets is truly fulfilling. Thank you all for coming along for the ride. Couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, coaches, friends, and fans. You all made it that much more special!
Great to hear he'll be working in NYC!I wanted to share an interview I did recently with Max Aaron. Max is skating on Saturday at A Night of Stars, a fundraising event at the new Skating Club of Boston. (Tickets: https://scboston.org/grandopening/)
Max talks about what he's been doing lately, his favorite moments from his career, and his participation in skating seminars and shows.
Aaron is starting a new job with ProShares, an institutional investment firm with offices in New York City, NY, and Bethesda, MD.
“I love numbers. I love working with numbers, and I love the stock market,” Aaron said of his work. “The numbers don’t lie, when it comes down to it. I love looking at charts and coming up with plans to help make the best decisions for portfolios, and help other people maybe achieve retirement at a younger age. It’s great to learn different avenues of finance, honing it into a craft. Hopefully, I’ll take it to the very top. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be a CEO one day.”
Aaron is currently transitioning from Arizona to New York City, where he will be based at ProShares’ Manhattan office. He is staying with friends and family in the New York area while searching for an apartment. He looks forward to fully experiencing life in the Big Apple.
“I like the fast-paced lifestyle,” Aaron said of New York City. “Everyone’s on the move, and everyone has a mission. That was my mindset in sport, so I love that. And there’s all walks of life in New York. You see it all, and it’s a great opportunity to learn from others.”
