I, too, well remember his role in "Moonstruck" and loved his portrayal of down-to-earth Martin Crane who could puncture the inflated pretensions of Frasier and Niles. One of the "rerun networks" currently airs four episodes of "Frasier" back-to-back every weekday evening.

Quite sad. I'd heard he was in hospice, so I hope he got to spend time with his loved ones before he passed away.
