I wonder if 4CC will ever become important enough that champions would come back just to win another title

Only if it were in a special, meaningful location like Tashkent.I wonder if 4CC will ever become important enough that champions would come back just to win another title![]()

I want Tatiana Malinina to reinstate, so I can watch her do four minutes of Aladdin arms again.
Gran Canaria (December 26)
fyi. Her son is skating at the US Nationals as a Novice. Sorry - his program has no fancy Aladdin arms but maybe she will do them in the K&C (assuming she accompanies him).
Wow, according to Wikipedia, her son Ilia Malinin was born in 2004, and was the 2017 US Intermediate champion. She and her husband Roman Skorniakov, who represented Uzbekistan in mens singles at the 98 and 2002 Olympics, also have a daughter born in 2014.She has a son? And, he is skating novice!! Boy, now I really feel old.
Malinin also won the U.S. Juvenile Boys title in 2016.Wow, according to Wikipedia, her son Ilia Malinin was born in 2004, and was the 2017 US Intermediate champion.
Malinin also won the U.S. Juvenile Boys title in 2016.He missed qualifying for Novice Nationals last season by one placement (5th at Eastern Sectionals).
I'm not sure how important it is now to win a European men's title considering the competition over the last 7-8 years. Now winning 4-5 4CC titles in a row would probably be more impressive considering the depth in North america and Asia in men's over the last 8 years.I wonder if 4CC will ever become important enough that champions would come back just to win another title![]()
Football or basketball? Now winning 4-5 ACC titles in a row would probably be more impressive
Yeah, Euros for the last several years has pretty much been Javierโs private lake away from all the other top men.I'm not sure how important it is now to win a European men's title considering the competition over the last 7-8 years. European skaters can go to Euros in a Olympic season because it's held earlier then 4CC plus they have far less to travel to compete since they are all on one continent. 4CC on the other hand is usually in Asia so Japan and China might send their top skaters but Canada and the US can't afford to fly 14 hours one way compete then come fly home another 14 hours then have only about a week to get ready with no real rest in between then fly another 13 hours to South Korea.Euros is extremely important to European skaters. Thatโs why you see them show up even in an Olympic year. Regardless of the fields, Fernรกndez still had to show up and skate reasonably well for all those titles. He deserves respect for that.

Because he's tired and he's done. He only came for Euros to try to break the record for most titles. Why dos he not want to go to Worlds??? I cant remember....

Enjoy the next chapters of your life, Javi, and many thanks for so many wonderful performances.
But Karl Schafer has 8 (consecutive) titles...Because he's tired and he's done. He only came for Euros to try to break the record for most titles.
7 Euro titles is great, but you know whatโs better?!? 8 Euro titles
