Creating a separate thread with these 2 posts in the British Skating News thread since tickets went on sale earlier today!
Ticket prices are out for 2026 Europeans to go on sale on the 28th Jan https://www.europeans2026.com/ticketing

For those with more experience of attending skating comps than me, is the price difference between the rink side and lower bowl worth it? My feeling is Row A would be potentially but Rows B-D wouldn't offer that much of a different experience to Row E. But the only previous event I've attended live was 2012 Euros and I was way back in the upper section for that, so anything feels like a bonus from there...
I’m pleasantly surprised by the all event ticket prices. After GP Sheff I was expecting something more painful!

With the disclaimer that I haven’t been in the Sheffield arena before (missed 2012 Euros defending my thesis overseas) I’d say position in the arena matters more than row - a few rows back towards the centre of the long side is going to be a better view than right at the front down the short end. But if there’s a big gap and people might be walking around between rows D and E, that could make a difference.

BIS press release earlier today:
"The first phase of ticket sales (28th Jan - 31st March) is the ONLY opportunity to buy All-Event Tickets, which not only get you access to every competitive event and competition practices, but also gives you first access to the Exhibition of Champions Gala tickets when they go on sale."

Thank you! I’d love to know, will all rink concessions be open for the event, and what sort of food do they have on offer? I’m hoping against hope for something better than the usual nachos and chicken tenders—maybe fish & chips, sausage rolls, and other local delicacies.

A tad early but I’ll share when I hear about it!

Hmm I was debating volunteering for this? I have done most things in addition to being on the LOC. I also know the area as my daughter did some training camps in Sheffield when she was living there. But then again worlds is in Prague. Hmmm

I would like to know (esp after watching Tallinn Euros) - will the rink have plexiglass barriers up as they do for hockey, etc.? These really obstruct the view.

I think it’s so cute that Luke Digby was a flower boy last time Euros were in Sheffield (his hometown) and now he’ll be competing there next year :)

I’m completely torn about booking tickets. Can’t decide which means I probably won’t.

We can book hotels today.
Of the hotels on the list, I've only stayed at the Ibis (it's fine, a standard Ibis - the Ibis Budget near the arena is a bit dodgy and best avoided). However, friends don't recommend the Hampton. It's certainly a very ugly building. All of the hotels are in the city centre and convenient for getting the tram to the arena; it takes 10-15 mins. The Doubletree slightly less convenient, but still much better than leaving it too late and getting stuck in Rotherham!

Thanks :) A couple of totally non-urgent questions:

Will they be selling Euros 2026 stash in advance? I've been influenced by Mark Hanretty and his bobble hat.

Great to know that all-event ticket holders will have access to practice sessions. Does this include those in the practice rink (Ice Sheffield across the car park) or just the main arena?

And a question not for the LOC, but for anyone who was at Euros 2012 or has been in the arena more recently - what are the facilities like? Sorry, but I like to be forewarned if there are going to be massive queues every zamboni break and/or nasty loos.

Looks like a lot of people had the same question - additional info on the event page since I booked my ticket: Kiss & Cry will be located between blocks 101 and 120 (exact location TBC). There will be no plexiglass in front of any viewing areas within the arena.

I'm staying at the DoubleTree in Sheffield, thanks to a friend!

I am assuming hiring a car won't be needed. I've driven in the UK before but I hate doing it  I prefer relying on public transport when I travel!

Are you planning to do anything else while you’re in Yorkshire? I live in London and have a car but I always take the train and use public transport for skating stuff in Sheffield, though can’t comment on the wider area.

Merch will be available ahead of the competition but prob not from the first part of 2025. ISU rebranding is impacting us and a few things are still pending. I will pass on your comment still!

If people have some merch ideas they'd like to see, let me know! I have a list from years of reading FSU and I will put proposals forward!

I believe so. IceSheffield practice sessions will be accessible for those without competition tickets too (conditions TBD).

Please ask them about offering a full zip sweatshirt or hoodie. I love branded sweats, but it’s so much easier to layer with a full zip. I would prefer gray with a patch logo or back shoulder to shoulder logo as opposed to one where the logo takes up the whole front. Just a personal preference, I probably would not buy a solid black (scary at night) or solid fuchsia one unless those were the only choices.

Another item I’d buy is a fabric shopping bag that’s folds into its own pocket so it’s easy to carry in your purse. The one from the Boston 2025 booth in Montreal has come in handy.

And allow preorder with pickup at the arena during Tuesday practices. If they offer an attractive mid layer, that will mean one less item to schlep from home!

Will never pass up on a classic hoodie but I've seen how nice the Montreal quarter zips are - very classy so would love something like that!

And definitely agree about some colours in between black and bright pink😅

Not particularly, I will probably fly into Heathrow and then train up a few days later! I figure I won't need a car but was wondering, hm, is this a good idea. Figure I will fly out of Manchester :)
