According to this tweet, Shoma Uno will compete without a main coach next season, while continuing to look for a permanent coach.

Fuji TV showed clips from the National team's summer camp.

Uno is "coach-shopping" but will be competing without a coach, as claire said.

Here's an article in Japanese.

"I'm not in a hurry to find a new coach. This season, I'll probably be by myself. No concerns, I believe I can do it alone"

He will be training at Chukyo univ, and take jumping lessons from Takeshi Honda (from the clip I saw, Honda was seen at the rink side, sometimes talking with Uno) Uno will be joining Stephan Lambiel in Switzerland for around 2 weeks in September.
"I want to be near skaters who are landing more than one type of quads. Hopefully, I can train with world-class skaters"

Shae-Lynn Bourne will choreograph his SP, with David Wilson doing the FS. It's the first time for Uno to be working with non-Japanese choreographers on competitive programs. Choreo will be done in August.
"This season's program will be like an exhibition program"

This article says Arutyunyan remains to be her main coach and she works with Takeshi Honda while in Japan. By working with Honda when she stays in Japan, she wishes her jumps will be more consistent. Marin explained "I consulted with Rafael. I moved to Rafael, I learned various jumps from him, but while I'm in Japan, my old habits with my jumps came back, and I had to go back to the US with it. It went back and forth in this bad cycle [last season]. I asked Coach Takeshi Honda to work with me when I'm in Japan. It works well since it's easier for me to understand what he says in my first language." She's back in Japan since the middle of last month. She plans to take part in Gensan Summer Cup (*a local competition where some strong skaters participate in, too). She'll go back to the US in the middle of next month.
_

I think it's reasonable for Marin to work with Honda as a jump coach to keep her consistency on fine level when she stays in Japan. She skates in many spring-summer shows to earn money. Working with Honda allows her to avoid traveling back and forth between Japan and the US.

Given that Honda coached Asada and Daisuke, it may not be a bad move. Although he was Daisuke's technical coach, same as Raf, so the technique issue maybe interesting.
Yes, Honda taught Mai Asada in her late career.

Oh. If Marin Honda is working with Takeshi Honda and shoma uno is too, I hope shoma goes to Rafa sometimes as well!

Might just be wishful thinking on my part...

I am kinda  Sota got 2 whilst guys ranked aboved him at nationals got none.

With such depth, same with as with the Russians, I would like to see more spots used, and giving an opportunity for skaters like Oba, Hino & Co.

So does Japan have any pairs at the moment?
It's just announced that Ryuichi Kihara and Riku Miura are now a team. I somewhat expected this when I saw Kinoshita Group listed Ryuichi as one of their members a few weeks back.

Sounds like there was some sort of summer competition?

1. Yuma Kagiyama - landed 4T
2. Satoshi Sato
3. Yoshio Miura

Info based on this tweet: https://twitter.com/online_on_ice/status/1160566850905767937?s=21

Yuma was one of my favorite JGP discoveries last year so any more info would be great. Sounds like he’s in good shape for the JGP!
Kagiyama is my favorite in the Jr men's field for this season, too. He along with Shun Sato and Kao Miura are the three who are supposed as the most promising Jr men from eastern Japan. Among them I like Kagiyama the best.

Someone posted an analysis of Summer Trophy. (1 Kagiyama 2 Sato 3 Miura)

Mai Mihara update excerpted below from her cheer thread: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/mai-mihara-cheer-thread.104121/#post-5618440
Mai was out of THE ICE and also withdrew from Gensan Summer Cup (a local competition held this past weekend). And now Coach Nakano revealed Mai is resting in her house due to poor physical condition. Coach Nakano team's summer camp is ongoing in Iwate now and Mai is not able to take part in it.
Yesterday Coach Nakano answered when she was asked about Mai "She's getting better a bit but her current status is that she significantly lost physical strength and has poor appetite. She's not in a hospital but her doctors don't allow her [to join the summer camp]." It's the most likely that she'll withdraw from Lombardia Trophy (scheduled in September) and the coach explained "We'll do our best so that she can be ready for Kinki regional (in October)."
