Looks like Marin Honda is modifying her coaching arrangement: half her time with Raf and half with Takeshi Honda.
Given that Honda coached Asada and Daisuke, it may not be a bad move. Although he was Daisuke's technical coach, same as Raf, so the technique issue maybe interesting.Looks like Marin Honda is modifying her coaching arrangement: half her time with Raf and half with Takeshi Honda.
Fuji TV showed clips from the National team's summer camp.According to this tweet, Shoma Uno will compete without a main coach next season, while continuing to look for a permanent coach.
Yes, Honda taught Mai Asada in her late career.Given that Honda coached Asada and Daisuke, it may not be a bad move. Although he was Daisuke's technical coach, same as Raf, so the technique issue maybe interesting.

It's just announced that Ryuichi Kihara and Riku Miura are now a team. I somewhat expected this when I saw Kinoshita Group listed Ryuichi as one of their members a few weeks back.So does Japan have any pairs at the moment?
Kanto Summer Trophy Junior Men's final top 3 are assigned to the first 3 JGPs:Sounds like there was some sort of summer competition?
Kagiyama is my favorite in the Jr men's field for this season, too. He along with Shun Sato and Kao Miura are the three who are supposed as the most promising Jr men from eastern Japan. Among them I like Kagiyama the best.Sounds like there was some sort of summer competition?
1. Yuma Kagiyama - landed 4T
2. Satoshi Sato
3. Yoshio Miura

Yuma was one of my favorite JGP discoveries last year so any more info would be great. Sounds like he’s in good shape for the JGP!
Here is a clip of Hana Yoshida's (13 yo) 3A from yesterday's FS at Gensan Summer Cup. Looks solid.ETA:

Mai was out of THE ICE and also withdrew from Gensan Summer Cup (a local competition held this past weekend). And now Coach Nakano revealed Mai is resting in her house due to poor physical condition. Coach Nakano team's summer camp is ongoing in Iwate now and Mai is not able to take part in it.
Yesterday Coach Nakano answered when she was asked about Mai "She's getting better a bit but her current status is that she significantly lost physical strength and has poor appetite. She's not in a hospital but her doctors don't allow her [to join the summer camp]." It's the most likely that she'll withdraw from Lombardia Trophy (scheduled in September) and the coach explained "We'll do our best so that she can be ready for Kinki regional (in October)."
