I don't think even now that the doping is good for an ice dancer or a figure skater. They build big muscle with it?
Doping is not just about building muscle.

Yes, I know... I just wanted to be short and simple..But my opinion is not changed.Doping is not just about building muscle.

I don't know wich doping is great for a figure skater or ice dancer during the preparation..

Stuff that helps you with stamina, stuff that helps you concentrate especially when you're jet-lagged, stuff that helps you recover more quickly from sore muscles/a lot of training, maybe stuff that helps you control your weight. That's just from the top of my head.
There are many legal stuff for these problem and you can be sure every athletes use it in every country.
Would you like to list this stuff so we can check it out or are you just trying to justify doping?
Heroin to make the pain bearable after an injury (or morphine or ...)I don't know wich doping is great for a figure skater or ice dancer during the preparation..
For ex the athletes are lying in water with ice cubes ( ice bath) because of the speedy recovery... and do you remember Helps' skin in Rio? What do you think why he did it?
Heroin to make the pain bearable after an injury (or morphine or ...)
Cocaine to get a booster effect (or cafeine or ...). Plus cocaine is an appetite suppressant that models use quite extensively.
Diuretics to lose some weight quickly and mask some other stuff.
Growth hormones which favor muscle gain without gaining weight (actually everything weight-related is of interest in figure skating, and everything about muscle-building coupled with weight control).
Everything related to stamina and recovery, ESPECIALLY during the off-season where there are far less controls.
Amphetamins against stress ...
Salbutamol to enhance breath capacity, hence blood oxygenation ...
Lots of stuff for everyone's need.
The legal methods are always evolving. This is very interesting. I had never heard of cupping in regards to sports. As a matter of fact I have only heard of cupping once, in early 2017 when I was attending aquatherapy for my shoulder and arm and one of the guys in my glass went to an accupuncturist for cupping on his shoulder to reduce pain. So Michael Phelps used cupping about twice a week during training to reduce the pain in his back and shoulders after hard workouts .Apparently it circulates the blood. So it is not something ingested which effects all your innards like drugs do but I am wondering if the way the cupping attacks blood vessels could cause cancer or heart conditions later on.

OMG! Did I write "Helps????? What a ridiculous typo!!!!!![]()
yes, a skater use everything what you mention and the nerves can't handle the pressure.....the concentration drops for a moment...etc. I don't believe it would be worth using them for a skater.
You threw me off. I do know Michael Phelps in swimming but I did not watch Rio Olympics except a bit of gymnastics...(my shoulder injuries were new and I was taking codeine and anti-imflamatories and was in terrible pain) sO I was googling Help-skin-Rio Olympics which just took me to Rio needs help to pay Olympic debt...Anyways I finally found it so all is well.
This is a pretty impressive list. It would be good to see who has ever been caught using those...Heroin to make the pain bearable after an injury (or morphine or ...)

It is ok...I can't believe I didn't catch right away that Helpa was Phelps. MY arm is still kinda sad. I dislocated it 3 times in 18 hrs and found out a few wks later that there were fractures as well. During physio the physiotherapist checked my file because of the noise my shoulder made everytime I moved it and on the c-scan there was a piece of bone missing . I work it all the time to strengthen it and am going to the Y to swim weekly and I take 1 mild fitness class which I think is helping. Thank-you for asking.Oh, so sorry... I hope you are fine now !
It made him erratic and did impact his performance. Not sure about Bowman, I think his skating went downhill pretty fast after he started using drugs.
Note that Bowman was never caught while cocaine tests were already available and working. This is a pretty impressive list. It would be good to see who has ever been caught using those...

You know, if there are limited/no adverse consequences to using such substances, I really don't see anything wrong with taking something to recover more quickly from jetlag or from muscle soreness. Clean sport should be about fair play and an even playing field, not about making athletes suffer.Stuff that helps you with stamina, stuff that helps you concentrate especially when you're jet-lagged, stuff that helps you recover more quickly from sore muscles/a lot of training, maybe stuff that helps you control your weight. There are so many things that are performance enhancing yet perfectly legal - gear, nutrition, supplements, legal substances etc. - that the line sometimes seems quite arbitrary to me. Of course, if recovery is sped up, people may be tempted to overtrain, and that's something that needs to be dealt with. But the focus, IMO, needs to be on athletes' health and not whether something is performance enhancing.

Sure, from some drugs that are banned one can suffer quite serious harm if taking unregulated. But not from all. Just curious, who died from Meldonium that they felt so strongly about?Except there are adverse effects, athletes have died or had their health ruined from taking performance enhancing drugs. That is why they are banned. Here is just one example:
“Erythropoietin is a type of hormone used to treat anemia in people with severe kidney disease. It increases production of red blood cells and hemoglobin, resulting in improved movement of oxygen to the muscles. Epoetin, a synthetic form of erythropoietin, is commonly used by endurance athletes.
Risks
Erythropoietin use among competitive cyclists was common in the 1990s and allegedly contributed to at least 18 deaths. Inappropriate use of erythropoietin may increase the risk of thrombotic events, such as stroke, heart attack and pulmonary embolism.”

I'd say that's respectably erratic AFA non-medically supervised drug use go.
