Based on the statement that she was surrounded by 100 pills, it sounded to me like it was not accidental but rather intentional.

My roommate & I were walking down Hollywood Blvd., in Hollywood one night in 1969 & Bobby Sherman came walking up the street, very rapidly, towards us. He was at the height of his t.v., fame at the time. He was wearing a buckskin outfit, complete with fringe. He walked past us to a chick who apparently had been waiting for him & they had a big, verbal fight with each other right there on the street.
I remember how shocked my roommate & at were at how short he was.

He was very short. So was Davy Jones from The Monkees. David Cassidy from The Partridge Family was no giant either.

Someone theorised that pre-adolescent girls went wild for the little cute androgynous guys because they weren’t sexual enough to be frightening.

I love your avatar--such good memories of my the Spirograph I received for Christmas as a child. I don't remember any of Sherman's songs except one about "Julie" because it played at the skating rink all of the time. I do remember "Here Comes the Brides." RIP

Intentional or not, my heart goes out to her loved ones. One of my sisters tried to kill herself about 20 years ago, using a similar method (medication). She wasn't successful, but it was a near thing. She died of natural causes (heart failure) in 2021. I will always believe that her ex-husband destroyed her self esteem to the point where she never took proper care of herself after they divorced. She was never the same.

Mark Lindsay from Paul Revere and the Raiders was also a big crush at my elementary school (yes I'm old) except that he had GASP a ponytail, which made him suspicious to a lot of parents. I'm not joking.

My very, very earliest crush was David Cassidy, but his half-brother Shaun eclipsed him in my heart. First time I ever bought a life-size poster, lol. He's still pretty damn good looking.

It's sad how many of these teen idols from the 60s-70s are gone now. Makes me feel old, for sure.
