My Grandma died early this morning, she was 93. Thankful my kids and I were able to say goodbye last night and she had her daughters with her when she passed. She helped raise me since my Dad was always deployed (Navy) and my Mom was busy earning her Masters and then continued on as an RN. I know I was lucky to have my Grandma for my 48 years and my kids also enjoyed time with her. Cry…

May her name be for a blessing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Alain Delon R.I.P.
I've loved a lot of his films of the 60s and 70s until early 80s, among my favourites Luchino Visconti’s Rocco and His Brothers (1960) and The Leopard (1963), Michelangelo Antonioni’s The Eclipse (1962), Joseph Losey’s Mr. Klein (1976) and Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Samouraï (1967)
He suffered a stroke in 2019

I also loved his collaboration with Dalida on the song Paroles, Paroles

Also very much enjoyed the lyrics.

That dude was the sexiest MF to ever grace the world of cinema.
No wonder Romy Schneider ran away to France to be with this guy.

Now he gets to chill with all of his pets who have already passed away.

To me he was one of the most handsome men on earth and maybe even THE most handsome and the sexiest too, yes. My fave movie with him (and Romy Schneider) is The Swimming Pool. Sadly, all the actors of this movie are now dead, including Jane Birkin. It must have been weird and difficult for Delon and Schneider to play a hot couple when off camera there were no longer one. I'm really saddened by Delon's passing because he was one of the huge French talents I loved since my youth. It makes me feel old. There is now only one French cinema wonder of this generation left: Brigitte Bardot. She will be 90 y.o. in september.

Love that film as well. Romy and Alain are so damn sexy in this one.

I spent the evening watching documentaries about Alain and Romy.
Damn...what could've been...

The hole in my heart gets bigger, not smaller with every passing year since you left us Sly Some days are harder than others, like today Aug 22 on what would have been another birthday to celebrate with you. Gone but never forgotten, R.I.P. Iceboy, son of my heart and my forever friend.

I wonder what was behind the label "Moondoggie?" Such an odd name to just pull out of thin air so to speak.

Wikipedia's article on the character states that one of the Gidget novels explains it as related to his fondness for surfing under moonlight.

Legendary Brazilian musician and composer Sergio Mendes has died:

Love his music. We saw him in Orlando in 2015 and the concert was wonderful. There is a large Brazilian population in the area and there was an older man with his grandson sitting in front of us. The grandson was maybe 8 years old and both were dressed up and wearing hats like Sergio. The kid knew every song. We had fun just watching the two of them.
