In Memoriam

The scene in Annie Hall when Shelly Duvall's character tells Woody Allen's character that sex with him is “really a Kafkaesque experience … I mean that as a compliment” had the perfect delivery of one of the most memorable lines in movie history.

Joe Bonsall, lead singer for the Oak Ridge Boys, died a few days ago of ALS. I'm not a big country fan, but listened to them when I was much younger, when my mom and dad were fans. I took the girls to a Christmas concert they did in northern California some years ago, and reached out to Bonsall on Twitter saying that it was the twinnies first concert and they were about to turn 5. In the middle of the concert, he gave them a shoutout by name and they sang "Happy Birthday" to the girls. He was a very nice man, and I'm sure he's missed by his friends, family and bandmates.

Shannen Doherty's father and I grew up in the same town Mississippi, about an hour south of Memphis TN. Much older than me, but I knew some of his family. The twice-weekly newspaper published a lot of resident submitted information and Shannen's Grandmother was very proud her! I remember seeing her as a very small child in print adds in the Memphis newspapers and some TV commercials as she got older. I don't remember her on Little House on the Prairie, but I liked 'Our House' and 'Heathers' is a favorite movie. I always pulled for her

Sorry to hear about Shannon. She was great in Beverly Hills but also in Little House on the Prairie

One of the shows on BH90210 had to due with breast cancer checks. Brenda found a lump and the show went through the testing, support of her friends etc.)

I heard some not very nice things about Shannen Doherty from friends who were crew members on some of the made-for-TV movies she was in. But the same friends also had the same kinds of stories about Tori Spelling. I think some of the 90210 cast had a really difficult time dealing with life after that show, and with not being the center of attention like they were then. RIP Shannen.

So when I moved here way back in the day, my first extra job was a location scene for Beverly Hills 90210 in Rancho Palos Verde, almost all of the cast were there on the set. It was June and we were filming the first episode of whatever season it was then. Tori spelling sat with us extras and had her lunch while all the other divas went into their trailers. Shannen Doherty was not on set or not on the series by then.

OHHHHHHHHHHH I just remembered Leeann Rimes husband was on the series then and my scenes were standing right next to him, and I was absolutely smitten with him… He was also married to Brandi Glanville before from Beverly Hills housewives.
