So? :)
Do you mean he should be included in the “unscrupulous parties” list? (LOL)
:skandal:TT1::skandal
Who else? :)
What about those skaters who skated to R&J - like Hanyu did? :)

No. I just wanted to say that was amazing for me one of the best programs of Hanyu. Hanyu started to amaze me with that program at WCH 2012. So I respect Besti because of it I wanted to make one good point for her after that trash talk in the TV show.

It started lol...

Natalya Bestemyanova: the judges deprived Stepanova and Bukin of second place in rhythm dance in the Grand Prix final

https://tass.ru/sport/5888143

Besti supported them so loudly all the time but we can forgive her. They were amazing with Bukin SR.

Really... i love Visotsky, but if you want to exchange songs, send me a PM... very few people outside of Russia know who Visotsky is, or how it is relevant to skating... :D

I know who is Visotsky but don't know how it is relevant to skating

I'm thrilled for Kostornaia. She is an exquisite skater and I can't wait to see her in seniors.:encore::swoon:
I love Trusova too. Fierce and gutsy, with a lot of personality. :respec:

I enjoyed them too! Kostornaia is just beautiful - it’s like watching a fairy princess. Trusova is like a flaming arrow tearing her way to the top. I love the contrast and I hope they go 1-2 at Junior Worlds too.

I most enjoyed the presentation of Scherbakova. She doesn’t skate as big and powerful as Kostornaya, but she really feels the music. Pity about the falls and also the mistakes in the SP, but she is one of the few skaters I would enjoy to watch even if she didn’t jump at all.

I like all 3, for different reasons. Scherbakova had her first GPF, she seemed confused by the "grandness of the event". Just before leaving for Vancouver, there was a show at the rink (celebrating 15 years of Khrystalniy rink anniversary). Scherbakov had a great skate.. Last season my favourite presentation was from Tarakanova. I love the fire in her, but unfortunately I didn’t feel that this season she skated with such abandon. She is much more cautious. It may be that she grew up a bit and is adjusting to her body.

I liked Tarakanova earlier in the season, including "dresses".. Judging by the stuff she does/say on social media, she is not just searching for her "style" in skating, but as a person as well. Too many things to figure out at once, so she is a bit disheveled on ice and off the ice. She'll figure it out soon, but for now she (besides skating) trying to be a blogger, trying modeling, etc.

:) Your gif with a dog had nothing to do with skating. Your "We are lucky" video had nothing to do with it as well and etc.

The song about rumors (which I posted) is relevant to your fantastic stories about "Medvedeva team" (which includes, as you suppose, Tarasova, Bestemianova). Your stories are not better than any ordinary rumors.

As for Medvedeva, maybe I didn't like, that she started to tell, that in Canada people smile and ask: "How are you?" - but it is not a trouble for me. You words "if i do post all i have on Med over the last 8 months" are laughable. Don't tell, please, that Medvedeva is a spy working for 5 countries. :) Sorry, your imagination is too luxuriant.

You were saying "we are annoying people" - but you keep annoying people even when I'm absent, don't you? :)

For god's sake, can we get a different thread for this Med/Zag drama please?

Many times I haven't been in agreement with TAT either. She has said some pretty strong stuff as well, about some skaters. Sometimes she speaks good and sometimes she speaks bad, about the same skaters even. I don't like it but for some reason I can never stay mad with her. :D
Yes, thank you, Amantide. You say: "about the same skaters even". I also think, that Tarasova just talks like this - and often she doesn't even notice, that she isn't polite. I really think she is naive. I can't say, that I like every word from her, yet I see, that she loves people, actually. I'm sure it is more important than her mistakes. :)
She really is like a big teddy bear mamma
As far as I know "The Bear" in one of Yagudin's nicknames. Not in Russia. It is because of Tarasova and her fur coats. :)

Well, as for me, I was really amazed by these Bestemianova's interviews and I wasn't going to defend her. Yet anyway you are right, Lala, if you want to remember you have a reason to be grateful to her. Thank you!! :) You are right.

I'm a bit biased when it comes to TAT. I think we all are, but that's understandable.
She has done so much for this sport and I always loved her skaters. Furthermore, I've always been found of her father for what he has done for the Hockey. I used to watch Hockey and was a fan of the Soviet Hockey Team. :)

p.s. I actually used to like Bestemianova&Bukin as skaters. I really liked their theatrical approach in Dance. I just don't like this part of her whining, complaining and gossiping about anybody that for some reason she has a beef with, or she doesn't like. There is a certain meanness to what she says and how she says it, which makes her look ugly.

I like her too. I was sorry to see her make mistakes. I hope this was a learning experience for her. Kanysheva’s LP was a bit princessy for my taste. I enjoyed Tarakanova more, but I liked them both- actually I liked all five Junior Russian ladies. They were amazing.

The junior competition between Kost, Trus, Scherb and a bunch of others who made the JGPF appear very exiciting. I hope Kost wins out at Nationals and Jr Worlds with the quality of her skating even if without a quad or two or three. Is she planning to add the 3axel at all? The one we saw from her training over the summer was wonderful.

The senior competition (as in, not senior Nationals, but the fight for Euros / Worlds instead) appear less exciting. There's Zag clearly on top (despite occasionally underperforming this season), Med (having found her feet since switching), the re-energized Tuk and the new revelation in Samodurova - the likes of Rad, Pog and even Sot and Tsur are now irrelevant. The top juniors from last season are either still too young or not really performing well. Competition isn't that exciting. Tuk may be finding her jumps again but IMO Zag and Med still have a deserved edge over her on PCS (speed, program content etc).

I just wanted to say kudos to Shevchenko & Eremenko for their win at the JGPF. They had a hard draw on the JGP this season, going up head-to-head with Lajoie and Lagha right off the bat. Won that fight just to have a rough go with their performances in Ljubljana, finishing 2nd behind Nguyen & Kolesnik there. But I've liked S&E's RD the best of all the junior dance teams this season, and they used that vehicle here to propel themselves to an upset win on the bigger stage. Kudos for delivering in such a big competition! Also, I really loved their exhibition number today. It is the first time I have seen them tell a story with a program, and I really liked it. (I don't see a link on youtube for it, or I would post it).

Tbh I have seen some bloody fights between Duhamel/Radford and Stolbova/Klimov fans back in 2014-15. But it's on a much smaller scale. I think it's because pairs is kind of the underrated discipline of the four, and not so many people watch it.

You do realize that the entire scoring system was changed in figure skating because of controversy during a pairs event? It can happen in any discipline. And during any quadrennium.

its rare to have the male skater who is the star of the pair team than the lady
I double that.
Same goes for Rylov and Ialin for me.

The RUS junior pairs guys are mesmerizing (as well as their ladies) and I can't wait for their progress in the year to come. They are all so different. That should be some fun.

not excited yet about the other russian junior pairs, the girls are just too tiny and pre pubescent and the guys aren't that tall either to survive any future girl's puberty hurdles.

senior ready or in transition Boikova / Kozlovski, Pavylyuchenko/Khodykin and Mishina/Galliamov are the ones that have prospects for the future.

Gordeeva was tiny and stayed tiny, and did just fine..:p

Don't worry.... out of 6-7 "tiny pairs girls" at least 3-4 will proceed to elite senior ranks.. :D

Ugh, couldn't he join someone else's group :wuzrobbed

Get lucky once and suddenly a whole program has to suffer for years as a result. I really hope these younger teams, who have nothing to do with her, start putting the metal to the pedal and make it so undeniable that the Russian fed. will have to dismantle whatever domination they helped her build. With her as leader Russian pairs went nowhere :wall:

I agree with you but I suppose Klimov has to start somewhere if he wants to become a coach. He is not experienced yet. To whom would he go?

Fill me in. What is it that Mozer has done to pairs? (This is a genuine question :) -- just thought I'd clarify in case anyone thinks I'm being passive aggressive :rollin:)

I wouldn't include P/K in that group. She is just as young and small as Polina and Apollinaria and if you want to talk about boring and expressionless...they are the epitome of that. I was at the GPF, so I can say definitively that they do nothing for me. I already had seen M/G and P/R before, in Richmond. Loved them then & loved them here. I really enjoyed K/I also - she is a little diva and they have a special kind of energy. Will P/R and K/I last forever? Maybe not, but most pairs eventually break up, that's just the way it is.
