A few Senior "B" events aside, it's the off-season.
has invited me to Baku, where I will be seeking that café where the Azerbaijani Federation holds its Nationals on a laptop. I'll also try to find time to read. To that end, I have started compiling a list of figure skating books I can't wait to read, and I would appreciate your suggestions.
Here's what I have so far.
Rink Rats, published by the University of British Columbia Press
The Blessings of Youth, by Alena Leonova, writing as Evgeniia Lopareva
How to Tie Your Laces, by Fedor Klimov, with illustrations by the author
How I Really Feel, by Andrei Bukin, with footnotes by Fedor Klimov
Healing the Montserrat Caballé Within, by Nina Mozer
1001 Great Computer Games, by Nina Mozer
Finding the Right Partner, by Bruno Massot
Speak and Write in German Like a Native, by Bruno Massot
Authentic Latin Dance Music, by Marie-France Dubreuil
Skate Your Very Best Every Single Time, by Daniel Samohin
Hold It In, by Dmitri Aliev
Letting It All Hang Out, by Gabriella Papadakis
Short Haircuts for Summer, by Jason Brown
Training in a Harness, by Adam Rippon
Body of Work: Fitness, Nutrition, and Eyebrows, by Adam Rippon
Götterdämmerung, by Ashley Wagner
Customer Relations, by Will Murillo, with footnotes by Karen Chen
Get With the Program!, by Karen Chen
Say a Little Prayer, by Karen Chen
Why Skate? Why Coach?, by Mark Mitchell
The Easy Path to Israeli Citizenship, by Boris Chait, with critical essay by Ilia Tkachenko
Everything Happens for a Reason, by Ilia Tkachenko
Save the Best for Last, by Eteri Tutberidze as told to Alina Zagitova
New releases only, please. I've spent the period between the Olympics and Worlds reading I, Surya, by Suzanne Bonaly, and a bunch of other classics.
