^^^ Well it shouldn’t surprise anyone that justice in America is not always equal between the races. I will leave it at that.

That last one is pretty amusing considering how many people online have been bitching that the kids are getting away scot free when they HAD to have known about the scheme(s).Unethical prosecutors trying to force her into a plea deal by threatening to prosecute children.
It really sounds like they have something set up for their friends or family to leak information to the media, especially People. Every day there is some new little story that seems to be aiming for empathy with the poor woman's plight.
Didn't think it was illegal. Led astray by the mastermind. Most mothers would use anything within their means to get their children into the best colleges. Corrupt husband who stole money from parents during college is the real bad guy who is sabotaging her family. Unethical prosecutors trying to force her into a plea deal by threatening to prosecute children.
Woe is me!It's going to be hard for anyone to have any sympathy for her when they escort her off to change into the orange jumpsuit if she keeps this up.
And her kids knew too....you can't get a sports scholarship without someone talking to you, seeing you, testing you. Geesh.

Her kids didn't get a sports scholarship though. What they got was the coach telling the Admissions Office that the coach was recruiting them to be on the team. Then when school started, the coach would say "oh, they changed their minds. They don't want to do [the sport] their Freshman year so they can focus on academics" (or whatever BS excuse they came up with to say they weren't on the team after all). No need for the kids to know at all in this case. And her kids knew too....you can't get a sports scholarship without someone talking to you, seeing you, testing you. Geesh.
And her legacy. Don't forget that she is worried that her legacy will be tarnished.
Boy, that ship has sailed.
Criminal defendants have the right to a jury trial, and I would think that these defendants would have a better chance of finding at least one juror who would vote not to convict than a judge who would do so.So if Lori L. and hubby go to a trial, would it be like a normal trial with a jury of randomly selected people, or a trial where a Judge makes the decision on guilty or not guilty.![]()
Totally correct about the Legacy. She has made a lot of Hallmark movies. For whatever that is worthI almost laughed when I read that. It never occurred to me to think that she HAD a legacy, for one thing, and for another, does she really think that if she's found not guilty, all will be forgotten? She more famous for this scandal than any acting she's ever done.
I watched a couple of those when I had Hallmark Movies and Mysteries with Uverse 300. And the other female "cozy mystery" ones. When Calls the Heart is on the regular Hallmark channel, which I still have since I downgraded back to U200.Slightly off topic, but am I the only one who watched Garage Sale Mysteries instead of When Calls the Heart?

You are not alone.Slightly off topic, but am I the only one who watched Garage Sale Mysteries instead of When Calls the Heart?

I've never watched a Hallmark movie, or Lori Loughlin act in anything at all. I feel that I am not missing out on anything. My husband likes sappy Hallmark-like movies. I think they're dreck.
There is one that is actually kind of good:"Meet my Mom". It is about a lonely kid who had to move (with his mom) and his class took up a letter writing project with a soldier in Iraq.My husband likes sappy Hallmark-like movies. I think they're dreck.

Quite some time ago, someone hit on the bright idea of staging episodes of "The Brady Bunch" at a small theater somewhere in L.A. The productions apparently followed the original scripts line by line, but the Brady kids were all portrayed by adults. (I think one of the original cast members may have made a guest appearance recreating her role.)I saw Laughlin in Full House only. And not that often as I think I've watched maybe 10 episodes.
I do think she has a brand. And this has tarnished her brand. But that she thinks her brand is some sort of legacy is super-amusing as I doubt anyone would have know who she was once she stoped working and her shows fell off tv.
At least not before this...
So the parents from China that paid $6.5 million to get their kid into Stanford .... if they live in and are citizens of China, can they even be charged in this case if they never step foot in the US so they can be arrested and charged?
