I hope this gives them the confidence that they have the material and the skill they need to have. They're pretty clearly tweaking some things in the fd, but I think it's going to absolutely slay when they've got it all comfy. They have time before their first gp.

Yes, four weeks is a LONG time to tweak and get it right before their GP debut at NHK.

They look so good! It was really quick, like blink-and-you-miss-it, but it looked like she gave him a tiny grin when the twizzles were over. :)

One thing that is standing out to me so far this season is Anthony in lifts - he looks so much more secure in their curve lift and his turns during the rotational are so much tighter than before (he's managing like 8 rotations in the FD when pre- and slightly post surgery he was struggling for 6!).

I like the new change at the end of the character steps but I kind of wish they used a similar position in the rotational lift as it's different and kind of fits the more provocative storyline...

100% agree about Anthony. Both his base and his footwork in lifts is so much more stable. Idk I'm just so impressed with how he's been coming up to match Christina's level and now they look like a beautifully matched team on all levels. Perfect time in the Olympic cycle for that to happen .

I also looved the change at the end of the character steps, and that would make a cool rotational life position! I'll be interested to see what they change now. I think they've got a really great base there though.

Interesting that they really pushed for Carmen. I love that they felt confident enough with their skating and their team to be able to advocate for what they wanted to skate to. Also Christina kind of shyly saying "We want to make the final" lol I want that too!!! Glad to see we're all aligned.
 
After watching this many times I think I'd love to see his costume with a slightly higher waisted pant and for the costume to be navy. There is just something sooo lovely about deep dark navy next to gold and I just think it would compliment her costume really well. Failing that maybe a very dark hunter green?

I'm with you - I would like to see the pants black, the shirt needs to be navy with gold/black braided trim & buttons, possibly with a hint of red to tie in with the flowers on her dress, and possibly a gold belt. This shades of brown look is NOT working.
