According to a recent Instagram story, Harley is on the move again, from France to...he didn't say. But today's post has me wondering whether he might be trying out with a potential new partner soon?

Me, too. Especially with Canada experiencing a rise in case numbers again, and the cancellation of their Grand Prix event.

Sometimes, when skaters perform to music with a national point of view, I was bracing myself for choices that would be hilariously kitsch.

But, those selections are actually quite lovely.

The Glenorchy rink is the state's only ice skating facility, and is home to a small but vibrant sporting community.

Amy Pailthorpe has been figure skating at the Glenorchy rink for 12 years.
Last year she became the Australian adult gold figure skating champion.
"We're probably sometimes the underdogs when it comes to things like that. Because our ice surface is smaller, we only have one rink," she said.
"I just love the feeling, spinning and jumping, just gliding.
"When you put on a really good performance in a competition or a show you feel very accomplished."
Amy skates five times a week, up to 8 hours a day.
But with the future of the local rink in doubt, she is concerned.
"I would hope that whoever purchases it next keeps the sport living on, and helps boost it even more in Tassie."

I just checked out the Wikipedia page. The Glenorchy rink is 30m x 15m.

Yikes. It's only a quarter of the size of an Olympic rink. That must be quite the adjustment for Team Tasmania when they compete at a national championship.

Skaters from Tasmania have been competing interstate for years. They manage it.

I assume you mean masters skaters. I can't imagine there would be room to practice and land triples on a rink that size.

Don't make assumptions about anything. A good skater can do triples anywhere. It is not depending on rink size. It is about technique.

I wouldn’t call what we’re going into ‘lockdown’, but I’ll admit that as soon as I heard that indoor sports were paused for the next two weeks I thought of James. Between getting stuck in Melbourne for a while during their actual lockdown and now this, he’s not having great luck!

I imagine with the 'rona situation in the UK, it's probably not the best place to train at the moment.

They didn't choose to participate?

The event was not a replacement for nationals but just to offer an event so skaters could achieve a benchmark.

He was certainly flying off to somewhere else from Dubai based on a recent instagram story. Didn't say where though.
