For the second week in a row, Australia's Anastasia Golubeva and Hektor Giotopoulos-Moore win an ISU Junior Grand Prix Pairs' Title.

With this victory at the Baltic Cup in Gdansk, Poland, the team have booked themselves a coveted spot at the ISU Junior Grand Prix Series Final in Torino, Italy in December.

Here's the timestamped start of Hana Bath's WAISA Senior FS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh-JFJVUyEA&t=8469s
3A< fall was her second jump after 2A: http://results.waisa.org/2022/states22/FSKWSINGLES-----------FNL-000100--_JudgesDetailsperSkater.pdf

Her protocol lists her as "Hana BATH-S" - can she compete as a Senior at AUS Nationals?

From Sept. 4, 2022:
Hana Bath won the Adv. Novice Girls silver medal in her international debut at the SEA Open Trophy in Singapore. She was 1st in the SP (3Lz+2T, 2A, 3Lo) and went for 3A (called <) in her FS (6.40 base value -1.49 GOE = 4.91 points) and also landed 3Lz+3T -- there's no second half jump bonus in Novice. The fall on her opening 2A+1Eu+3S and doubled toe loop at the end cost her the gold here but I'm looking forward to seeing how she develops!

That Bath is only 12 or 13, is pretty impressive she is competing in the Senior Women's division. With her level of technical content, and one of the few local female skaters currently competing to break the 50 point barrier for a short program and 100 points for the free, she'll likely win the national senior title in Brisbane later this year.

It's not that uncommon for Australian skaters to compete in several divisions (when they've passed tests at a higher level but haven't aged out of a lower one.)

At the recent NSW Championships, Andrea Gao competed in the Junior and Senior Women's Singles category. Several weeks prior, she competed in the Novice Women's Singles category at the Crystal Challenge in Melbourne.

Thanks for the info about Andrea because I was wondering how common it was for someone like Hana Bath who is still too young for ISU Junior events this season and only just made her international debut in Adv. Novice at the SEA Open Trophy in August.

Especially if Kailani Craine is not competing this season (has it been confirmed that she will not be at Nationals?).

No entry lists yet - most of the states/territories were having their Championships either last weekend, this weekend or next weekend, so probably not for another two weeks at least.

I would be surprised if she was on the list, though.

My next skating trip in person is 4 continents so I was trying toget a sense of the Aussie team. I am correct in assuming that Hana is too young, is that the same for junior worlds in Calgary.

Yes she is still only Novice internationally and too young for Junior. But she is able to compete at Junior and Senior in Australia. Just can't be selected for those events.

I judged her a few months ago. She is one amazing little skater. Apparently a really nice kid as well.

Super exciting! Any chance you will come to 4 Continents?

Looks like Hektor and Anastasia have their Senior Worlds SP minimums after the first day of Warsaw Cup! :cheer2:
Oh, wow! I didn't even realized they needed to get the Sr Worlds SP minimum. I thought they had it from last season and just looked. Good for them! They easily met the min today and had a really good SP. Hoping good things for them tomorrow!

Earlier today, Australia's Anastasia Golubeva & Hektor Giotopoulos-Moore won their first ISU Challenger Series gold medal against some tough and seasoned senior competition at the Warsaw Cup in Poland.

The couple also earned three new personal bests for their short program (63.62 points), their free skate (121.91 points) and overall (185.53 points).

If anyone missed Hektor and Anastasia's programs and wants to catch up, the Polish fed has been brilliant about putting videos up. Their SP isn't available as an individual video, but the full stream of Day 1 got itself out from under a copyright strike (quite possibly caused by their music) and the SP is here. Meanwhile, although the full stream of Day 3 got also pinged for copyright and has not resurfaced, their FS is here as an individual video.

Enjoy!

Looking at the score sheets from Nationals, Darian keeps getting closer and closer to landing that triple axel in good order! Does he have his Four Continents minimums? I can't remember.

We believe Darian earned his minimum Four Continents TES at the 2022 Philadelphia Summer International Competition.
