Anybody know what row the P2 price tickets will start at Maverick?

FWIW at the last Skate America the official hotel was the Tulalip Casino, about 15 mins away by car. It was quite nice, and it had lots of food options. There's also an outlet mall and a Wal-Mart on the same road as the casino, with more places to eat as well. I remember my first stop after checking in at the hotel was the Wal-Mart, to get a big fluffy blanket because our seats in the arena were right underneath a ventilation fan

Tulalip was the official hotel in 2008. In 2018 it was the Delta Hotel which is about a 15 minute walk from the arena.

Man, I was going to book the Courtyard. Sold out. A lot of the other hotels spiked in price.

Thanks for the update, I had forgotten there had been another SA between then and now.

I was able to make reservations for the Delta and Hampton Inn - both are walking distances (16 minutes) to the arena.

That’s AI for you. If a lot of people suddenly start searching for X, X automatically goes up in price. Prices may settle and availability open up the week after the initial ticket sales. And as others have noted, almost everything opens up 14 days before with cancellations and the release of held rooms.

I really enjoyed the Everett events in the past. Last time I took a regional bus from Seattle and got a motel room a local bus ride away. ALAS.... I will be away from the PNW during SkAm this year

And what's with the super early Nats during a non-Oly year? I would probably be able to attend if it was in the usual last weekend of January, but first weekend is highly unlikely.

Dear Skate Canada: I know you don't love Americans too much these days, but the East Coasters would love Laval, Ottawa or St-John!

Or even Mississauga, even if the arena is not really that accessible through public transportation. The Laval rink is very nice and has a metro stop nearby. I've done 2 Skate Canadas before and the exchange rate is still pretty good to make things affordable.

How do ticket sales for Nats work if you don't want an all-session ticket? Do they wait for sales of all-session tickets to plateau before announcing a sale date for per-competition tickets? If so, are those generally the same week, or weeks to months later? The USFS announcement only says that "All-session tickets for championship-level competition will go on sale Thursday, March 26 at 12 p.m. ET."

I read this thread, and heard people complaining about SkAm and Nats ticket sales being on the same day (questioning USFS ability to juggle the simultaneous sale)... I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but the press release has been updated with "The originally announced ticket on-sale date for 2026 Skate America has changed." and in the article it now says that "All-session tickets will go on sale in the spring of 2026" for SkAm.

Just checked and last year the single session tickets for St. Louis went on sale on Sept. 4, 2025:

Just got an email from USFS that noted single-session tickets will go on sale next Wed at 10 am CT. It sounds like most of the all-event and weekend package tickets in the lower bowl will be converted to single-session.

ETA for 2025 Nationals in Wichita - U.S. Championships' original dates for ticket sales:
Thursday, May 16, 2024: All-session tickets and hotel packages
Thursday, July 11: Weekend tickets
Thursday, Sept. 19: Championship single-session tickets
Thursday, Dec. 5: Junior single-session tickets

Thank you @Sylvia, I wish they'd just come out and say that from the beginning. I don't know how they expect to grow a fan base when they only ever dole out half of the information. Why keep it secret? Just come right out and say "Per-event ticket sales, if available, will go on sale in the Fall of 2026" or something similar.

No, the Maverik Center where the senior events will be held has normal stadium seats. The bleacher seats are at the rink where the other events will be held.

Yes the seats are plastic. And yes, the first two rows were folding chairs, though I can't say for sure if they did that just for synchro nationals. I also can't tell from the pictures I took if it was the first 2 rows for all sections, or only some of the sections. Maybe look for some other photos/videos from hockey games?

Did you happen to sit on the judges' side for any of the event? I was wondering how obstructed the lower rows were. In St. Louis and Wichita the pitch was great so could sit close and not be very obstructed.

For synchro nationals, they had the judges on the opposite side (sections 114/113), and they had 115 and 112 blocked off. I mostly sat in 125, 126 and 101, but since there were no judges stands there, I don't know how obstructed it would be.

Today's email from USFS says the following about price-category P1A seating at the Maverik Center:

"P1A Seating
Seats in the P1A section include two inches of padding, providing enhanced comfort compared to standard stadium seating. However, these seats do not have armrests. Maverik Center does not permit seat cushions, chairs or stools to be brought into the arena."

To be clear, this says nothing about our being able to take some sort of seat or back support into the secondary arena.
